Hey guys, I just wanted to share this with everyone. I didn't know about this, I stumbled on it by accident. I was flashing a new rom on my SGS3 and when I installed dropbox I saw a notification at the bottom of my dropbox scren that said "claim your 48 gb free space now!"
I was kinda skeptical, thought it may be an add. But anyway, I tapped the notification and it gave me a link to visit on my desktop, or an option to send me an email reminder.
I got the email, clicked the link, and instantly had 48 gb added to my dropbox. Guess it was some Samsung promotion that happened a while back, but I just now noticed it.
If you have a Samsung phone and use Dropbox, you should check this out.

So it says it needs to be preloaded? I have a sgs3 but I flashed it with a nexus ROM - needless to say it didn't come preloaded. Am I still eligible?

I imagine it is. As long as your friend hasn't downloaded dropbox on his device and signed in already. If it would work, he would need to download dropbox, and sign in using your dropbox account info.

Yes, and since you have a nexus, you wouldn't get the bonus anyway. IIRC it only applies to Touchwiz phones

I got this like 6 months ago on my Galaxy S2 by installing a leaked JB rom with a bunch of backported Galaxy S3 touchwiz stuff before I sold it.
Dunno if they put dropbox into the official JB update for the s2 but yeah, I have a nexus 4 now.

Apples and oranges sir. Yes mega allows uploading huge files but it does not offer all the same things that dropbox does. Dropbox is all I need.
