Hi i just like to ask you guys if you know any competitive servers for me to join? i know i can join newbie mix and all that but i just want to start at a competitive PUB game that i will have some competitions so any suggestions will be great, thank you.
As far as I know there aren't any pubs out there that run competitive game modes. The closest you can get I'd say is to go to tf2lobby.com and play there.
If you want actual competitive games then they're not on public servers because you have to play with the same 6 people on each team the whole time. If you want some pub servers that are more "comp-oriented" try some DM or MGE servers (should find some close to you in the Active Servers bar on the right).
If you want some casual competitive games, try tf2lobby.com. For something slightly more serious, with communication over a microphone using Mumble is compulsory, try tf2pickup.net. After you've played a few of those (and let people know you're new so they can show you the ropes) try adding people and play with friends.

There are no actual competitive pubs but the closest is tf2lobby and maybe star_'s server

There's almost no such thing because the general pub population isn't always interested in competitive formats. Other than tf2lobby, the best you could do is find a group of pubbing friends and set up pugs with them for funsies. You'll have to find someone with a server to play in though.
I have a server running for that purpose:
http://teamfortress.tv/forum/thread/8078-i-have-a-server-for-you
It's nocrit/nospread with class limits and a selection of custom and default maps.
Due to lack of interest I have a password on it atm and use it only for private games with friends.
If there is any interest here again I will gladly remove the password and have it open again.

This experiment has been tried several times and usually doesn't end up succeeding because the thing that makes comp competitive is communication and teamwork, which is sort of antithetical to the pub mindset of having fun for yourself, often at the expense of others.
If you've done newbie mixes before, it might be time to do a few tf2lobbies to familiarize yourself with the format a bit more, but tf2lobby is barely a step above pubs because nobody communicates and everybody relies on DM (deathmatching) skills. The real shit comes when you join a team and start scrimming and playing matches. The absolute fastest way to get better at the game is to scrim a lot. You might lose a lot in the process, but the only way to learn is to realize what mistakes you've made and try to not repeat them.
Other than that, if you want to practice aiming and timing without actually joining a team, I'd recommend doing SOAP DM for practicing group fights and MGE for practicing one on one. The main thing to remember is, even though you might start out really bad, don't give up. Practice makes perfect.
Also, check out the Active Servers bar on the right of this page, those are usually good bets for competitive servers.

When you say comp pub I assume you mean general class limits some items bans and nocrits/spread. There was a tf.tv pub awhile back but I don't think it had any restrictions.

I somehow got in yesterday, and it was snakewater, and half of the enemy team were complete idiots.

If you are really new to the 6v6 format, you can try tf2lobby and play some 6s games there, join into mge servers to improve your DM, then later you should start playing pickups.
Get some friends and form a team, look for scrims and when you feel confident enough join on a league (you don't need to play on an prem/invite level, you can just join in a low division)
I started playing on mixes, got known by the players, and later i joined a team, that's when the serious thing starts, scrim a lot and use mumble to communicate.
