Firstly you need to realise that a negative mentality has probably cost your team a number of losses. It only takes one person with a negative attitude to bring the whole team down, even slightly, which could cause a couple of missed shots or a bad decision, cause a round loss which loses you a game.
Secondly you need to realise that while you play this game competitively, you also play for fun. Stop taking things so seriously! People make mistakes and while it's frustrating for you and your team members, you need to let people make mistakes.
I used to play on a team with a guy called Boomting (otherwise known as Josh / Joske). He was one of the biggest ragers / trolls in the European scene. Playing with him was a nightmare but he was such a skilled demoman that we had no choice but to continue with him in our team. After years of putting up with shit we decided we had to change his mentality.
I asked him to try something. When he got killed, I wanted him to credit his opponent rather than blame himself or his team. He gave it a go. I remember the difference this made. He would get killed and instead of, "WHAT THE FUCK? SOMEONE FUCKING PROTECT ME?!?", it turned into, "Omg, this guy just got an absolutely amazing meatshot on me... that was amazing!".
It kind of put a positive spin on moments that would have been shit for us. Hearing our team mate struggle puts us in a bad mind state, but crediting the opponents instead of blaming himself / us didn't effect us in a negative way. If anything, it added a few 'lulz' to our mumble during games. Our matches became less stressful, and we started to perform a lot stronger.
Now it sounds like you're also kind of causing arguments or rage in comms, so I'd suggest trying that methods yourself. Even if your team are raging, just laugh about it in your head, and never say a bad thing on your comms, only credit people. If a scout jumps in, kills your medic around 4 of your team, then it was the scout who was amazing... not your team who were shit. Adopt that mentality and the game can become a LOT more enjoyable. It's all about being the bigger man. Sometimes you will want to shit talk, but you just have to hold it back and try to keep your team's positive mentality.
Honestly, people underestimate mentality in gaming, but notice how a sniper who misses 6 shots in a row will also miss the 7th, but the sniper that just hit 3 headshots in a row will hit the next 5 and destroy the whole team. It's simply because they KNOW they are going to hit the next shot, whereas the previous guy is trying too hard to hit because they missed so much.

I'd like to thank sildeezy and Arx for two very long, informative posts. I guess this wasn't the best idea, the passive-aggresivess wasn't needed. However, this is still the first time i've been in this situation: Cut because it's not enjoyable, or don't cut and have "the fun just dripping from the back door."
Thanks for the advice, everyone else, thanks for keepin' it entertaining for the crowd. Hopefully, I can have a nice discussion with the team about this problem when everyone is back.

if the rest of your team really wants to play with you but they also want to play with the other guy (which i would find ridic if it's as bad as you make it seem), i would just give them an ultimatum. either he gets cut or you leave (if the problem isn't resolved). tell them it's a waste of you time and theirs, but if they want to continue dealing with this dickwad, then they can do it without you.
it sounds harsh but you gotta do what you gotta do. don't let others hold you back, which it seems like this guy is doing.
but honestly, i would talk to the guy who's being a problem. talk to him alone or with your team, whichever you (and maybe your team) feel like doing. work it out with him, explain the problem. don't sugar coat shit. sugar coating the situation could just make it worse. if he says he'll fix things, then put trust into that statement and see if he does. if nothing changes, then yeah, what i said before might be a good idea.
edit: noticed that you might have resolved the issue. good luck!

Thanks. It's sometimes hard to talk though. I don't want to insult the guy more, but I talked to him last night after the thread and he was being immature about it. (Well, so was I by making the thread.) But, I tried talking to him and he brought up contradicting points, making random stuff up, etc. It's just a hard decision and it's the first time that I felt that I needed to do this.

i wouldn't necessarily call you immature about asking people to help with a problem you're unsure how to resolve. maybe you could have asked someone on steam, sure, but it's not really too big of a problem. if you don't throw out names, at least.
if he's acting how you say he is when you talked to him, then i would 100% not deal with it. sure, you play this game to win, i'm sure, but i would never believe you if you said that you weren't playing to have fun.
if you're not having fun playing this game, whether it's playing it competitively or if you're just a casual player, then you shouldn't bother playing this game. well, if you're a comp. player and you're not having fun, there may be things you can do to solve that, and in your case, it would be to not play with that guy.
i'm not saying it's the best idea to stop playing with the rest of your friends as i felt the same way after my first team. it sucked. i made good friends with these guys and had a ton of fun playing with them, but then there was a time where i had to stop playing with them night after night and as i said, it sucked. but i moved on to a new team and made more cool friends that i had tons of fun playing with.
sure, it's hard, but it's only hard for this moment. the second some other team wants to possibly play with you, your focus turns to that and then when you make it on another team, your focus is then on winning with that team and eventually your grow to become friends and have tons of fun (or try to).
it's hard to ignore your feeling, but try to do just that and think about your options logically. make your decision based off that and off of what your team wants to do about it. you're not going to get anywhere by blindly making decisions. you could easily just quit the team before they get the chance to tell you they're cutting him. so then you're out of a team when otherwise you wouldn't be, you'd be playing with your good friends and wouldn't have to deal with that guy. your loss because you blindly made a decision. so basically, use your head and what your team wants to do about it over how you feel.

After all of these paragraphs...Did you ever think that 2 others on the team (That makes 3) had the same mindset as I do? To try and win, get better, and scrim a lot? Maybe thats the problem. The people you are calling dickwads have a different mindset than you. We want to scrim a lot and get better to win some games and improve more rather than just getting our shit pushed in. On top of that. Look at this huge overstated drama thread you made. Look at how overstated this is. It's fucking insane how much you blew this fucking thing up making me look like shit when I haven't done much to get a full fucking thread made about me for being a "Dickwad" Here's the thing though. When we were going to breakup in the first place you said no then we lose everything we've worked for WHEN WE HAVEN'T WORKED AT ALL THIS SEASON. We never scrimmed or dedicated to getting better as a team. I'm just gonna cut myself. Except our Roamer might leave if I do and our medic IS leaving if I do because he wanted to be on this team because I was. If you want me to leave I have 2 very willing teams to take me and I would be glad to be on a team with the same mindset as me. Then drama won't happy like this stupid thread. FITE ME IRL d00d

i can see what he means. i'm not gonna be the one to bother with whatever problems you and your team have. at least not any more than giving simple advice. him making the thread wasn't necessarily a problem so long as he didn't throw around names and hate on people for no reason. asking for advice isn't a problem, but now this thread is slowly beomcing one.
let's just lock this thread and you guys can talk about it together, again.

sildeezyMan, yall niggas are on some crack.
Here is how the team dynamic works. You keep it real, or you're a fake ass hoe.
If every player on a team keeps it real, the team will succeed, as a team. I'm not saying you'll win every game - or even any game - but your friendship will carry on into the next universe.
If one member of the team is being a fake ass hoe, you encounter some issues. Let's examine the following scenario. The following team names and player names are made up.
The Xtreme Gamerz play a scrim and lose. Their scout, CalvinInDaZone (aka calzone) either rages, sucks, or causes problems throughout the scrim and after. Calzone is being a fake ass hoe. Calzone leaves mumble, and the other 5 players talk about Calzone's episode, but don't don't attempt to confront him at all about it.
STOP THE SCENARIO.
Let's look at what just happened. The team had zero fake ass hoes before their scrim. During their scrim, they had one fake ass hoe. After the scrim, they have 6 fake ass hoes.
What should have happened is this: The players should have confronted CalvinInDaZone about his raging/sucking/problem causing.
Outcome A: big Calzone stops raging/sucking/causing problems. You all live happily ever after.
Outcome B: Calzone is still a fake ass hoe. That sucks, but it's better to have one fake ass hoe than 6. Now all you have to do as a team is decide why you're playing. Is calzone a shitlord, but your carry player? Is winning important to you? It's your call. Is Calzone not a fake ass hoe at all, because calvin is a cool dude, and his only sin is not being as good at tf2 as you guys? Is playing with your friend more important to you than winning video gamez? It's your call.
But whatever your call, it needs to be well known, and it can't come out of left field. You need to keep it real. Even one fake ass hoe will disrupt the integrity of the team. 5 or 6 will destroy you.
Keep that shit real and you'll be golden, little nigga.
Edit: and yes, making this thread was the opposite of keeping shit real, but you're forgiven. We all make mistakes, playa.
I read this entire thing in riley's voice from boondock saints.

This all comes down to expectations. Sounds like you and red and probably the rest of your team had different expectations for the season when things were started and when things didnt go the way they thought they should there was some frustration. Playing with angry people is never fun but neither is seeing the team go down a path that you didnt think you signed up for. This thread itself is probably a great example as to why the team went down the path it has. Where you might have had good internal dialogue within the team to solve your problems you instead dont talk to each other which leads to problems.

This is honestly some of the best advice ever. I did this exact same thing to myself and I went from a total raging asshole to a mildy irritable but tolerable asshole in a matter of aday

Stop raging, honestly, I tried talking to you, Red, yesterday, and you blew me off. Please lock this thread before anything else starts up. I didn't mention anyone in this thread at all. It was, as many others have stated, a passive-aggressive way of dealing with the situation that I've never been encountered with.
It would be easier to explain everything to you guys so you would understand where I'm coming from. But who really gives a shit anymore? This thread turned into back and forth bickering and from parties not listening to each other.
I'll keep this in the bookmarks for future reference though, the advice was well taken. Thank you everyone.
Lock it up! Show's over.
