so how good is a winger jump anyway

as in, does it justify the still-small DPS output (even with the dmg bonus, you're not getting much out of that clip), and/or what are the theoretical jumps you're pulling off because of the winger

if you have to switch to pistol you're probably not going to be going for DPS, you probably trying to finish off a kill

with the jump buff, it's pretty much a straight upgrade from the pistol, unless you're quad

On badlands you can jump on to spire from balcony and you can get from the resup bridge onto the house balcony by using that little ledge that runs along the house. Both of these jumps can be performed using the boston basher as well, although they cost a small amount of health, obviously.

I'm sure there are plenty of these little kind of jumps on every map that would make it tempting to run the winger, but the fact that you lose damage output coupled with the boston basher overlapping in utility makes me think that it won't be worth it to run the winger.

100% an upgrade if you learn all the new jumps

I think its a cool addition, I could see it being an option over the regular pistol, its good but it is not so much better then the pistol that it should be banned in ESEA.

I don't know if it's a 100% upgrade. The pistol is a very powerful weapon, after all.

But it does seem very useful, not to mention fun (why we play this game, right guys?)

does anyone even know more than one or two useful winger jumps you can make?

as far as I know the extra height doesn't get you anywhere significant but onto the point on gully and as a weapon the winger is still significantly worse than the pistol.

Pistol accuracy is meh though.

onto spire on badlands, above the point on gully without going on the boxes, and certainly a number more. I'm not sure if anyone has tried lower crate to upper crate on granary?

being able to vary how high you jump could probably also be useful for avoiding projectiles and shit, so kills are harder to finish but you can be more unpredictable with your mad hops

has anyone tried snakewater? I feel like that rad as hell boston basher jump up to dropdown from the TFTV top plays is going to be pretty easily replicated with this

just tried it, i am not particularly good at scout jumps but i don't think it works

since the fps is so awful on the setup im currently on (dont worry i dont play like this), after i double jumped up to a window, i slid off to the right and double jumped onto the balcony. the rest should be pretty clear

having played a few scrims with irk and watching him use it, his movement is incredibly fucking confusing now to just watch in spectate. Can't imagine what it feels like to shoot at him.
