I'll be rooting for HRG, naturally.
But I'm very concerned about those top European teams. They've had a year to stew over last summer's pounding by the Americans. I assume they will come prepared and possibly sober.

America to take the win once again though you can never count out the new and improved Epsilon.

1) Epsilon - definitely think Epsilon is gonna win this hands down, I know they got wrecked last year but the team is completely different, with every player coming up as a straight upgrade from the old ones (save maybe KnoxXx for F2, altough KnoxXx is the boat captain and really puts epsilon boys in their place), Mike of course a huge upgrade over any soldier in any tf2 team and without TLR coming, he will have free reign over any other solly, numlocked seems a good upgrade over extremer altough extremer was really good numlocked seems more consistent. And Bash has been playing amazingly well, surely one of the top scouts out there atm. All 3 new players are upgrades IMO and knoxXx move to medic really impacted their flow as a team as well so I think they are favorites to win here despite having lost last year.
2) hrg - Maybe close with broder since they (broder) improved a lot from last year or really close to epsilon, really interested to see how they will perform, don't think they have the guns to fight with the current epsilon line-up tho, maybe if it was last years' lineup it would be a different story
3) broder - I feel they have a huge chance to either impress or be a massive letdown, I'm betting the first one :) Also arguably the team with most chemistry and funny comms (<3 mirelin), I also never saw any rage from them so I expect them to keep levelheaded and have a solid performance. Will have to confess I wasn't very confident with ryb on demo, as he was being kinda outplayed by other prem demos the past couple seasons but he has definitly been picking up his pace lately and will surely perform great here.
4) infused - ipz is probably the player more keen in prem atm, and his team seems to follow his aspirations, and with Kaidus in this I think they have potential either for a huge upset and finish 2-3 or a be somewhat of a letdown and endup around 5th, 4th place would be a very realistic goal tho, altough I think they definitely have potential for more.
5) iM - I'm really not sure about this at all and Im judging from recent scrims in EU bootcamp. will be really interesting . Really close to broder/infused or they will end up loosing points against lower prem teams in the elite group for knockout seedings.

Out of the sake of patriotism, I'm hoping iM will make a really good showing, but that's a distant possibility.
I'm expecting either HRG or Epsilon for first, but I don't follow the Euro scene enough to be certain of anything- Broder or Infused could go insane on lan and just roll.

For me, the hype for i49 would be so much better if Mixup was going along with HRG. It's sad to think that Mixup is at the very least the 3rd/4th best team playing right now. For them to not be at the competition deciding who is the best team seems a little undeserved. Not having a sponsor or money sucks.
Mixup vs Broder/Infused would be incredibly good matches to watch.
I have watched an insane amount of EU Prem matches/scrims. I feel what will hurt Epsi in the end is the lack of teams to play and practice with consistently. Epsi dominates the EU scene but have only Broder and Infused to practice against all the time. The same 12 players all the time. When the same players play each other non stop for so long, they get learn habits and tendencies and it can have an effect on play against new teams.
I don't think HRG has had such a lack of diversity in scrims/matches because there are at least 6 solid NA teams that all play differently. Mix, Trihards, AG, Mad Men and top guns were all solid this season. I believe that diversity will give HRG an advantage to adapt game play and come out on top.
1-- HRG
2-- Broder
3-- Epsi
4-- Infused
All that aside, the dark horse nobody is talking about is Broder. They have 2 players who can hang with anyone and turn any game in their favor. In my opinion, the best EU medic around is Mirelin and 0 ping Jukebox sniping could be scary. I predict Broder to upset Epsi at LAN. It would not surprise me if they beat HRG to win the whole thing but I still have my money on HRG.

What. Mirelin is good, but he isn't on the same level as Knoxxx. Knoxxx might not pull off insane stuff as much as Mirelin, but that is because he almost never gets into a situation where he has to. If you want to learn how to play medic you should watch Knoxxx and not Mirelin. They are both really good medics, but Knoxxx plays the more effective game.
And Jukebox? No. Yes, he is good, everyone on that team is. But the two star players on Broder are Zebbosai and Cookye.

I didn't post that Knoxx was not a fantastic medic. I know exactly how good he is, my opinion is just that Mirelin is better. I don't see how you can say Mirelin is not on the same level as Knoxx.
As for Juke, I mentioned him because he is a play maker as roamer and sniper. That combo makes him exciting to watch and he is very effective. I wouldn't label anyone a "star player" on a team that is so well rounded. In all honesty, the weakest player for Broder over the past month or so has been Zebb. disagree?

Not in any way qualified to give an opinion of any weight, but since you asked:
1) 'merica
2) Aussies
3) Europe
Explanation: Many people say that Epsilon is the team that has been training all year just to beat the americans, but they are trying to beat i46 mix^. HRG is a VERY different team with a different (and some would say superior) play style. From what little I've seen of epsilon, they're play style seems very aggressive, much like the i46 mix^ team. I think HRG's "passiveness" is a great counter to that style of play so HRG takes the 1 spot.
No one really knows how good the aussies are compared to the top NA and EU teams which leads many people to assume they won't be able to compete. I would normally think this, but everything I've heard about them tell me that they WANT it more than the others. They're getting there a week early to scrim, yuki's been talking them up on these forums, etc. I think in terms of physical skill as team they can't compete as well, but in terms of determination to win I feel they will surprise some people and grab second.
This leaves the 3rd spot to an EU team. My money is on Epsilon.
