basically 2 from each continent. Mike can roam pretty well, sheep and stefan can snipe and b4nny + shade is the best demo+med combo

I do have a bias, but b4nny was at mid faster than all the other demos 90 % of the time. I felt like he really kept his team going. Also b4nny plays better than all the other demos, so he gets focused more.

it's not how fast you get to mid, it's what you do when you get there. and did you watch any of Epsilon's games? middles aren't fun for me vs roamers like Tmac and jukebox.

downpourmy favourite thing about this thread is that not a single player on anyone's conceived teams is from NA :D
Well of course -- only player from NA who had any performance worth mentioning was Lansky, and I wouldn't have called him the best at i49 (certainly not over yuki)

Idk, hit me with a stick but I think Lansky doesn't even nearly get as much credit as he should. I'd pick him over Mike this lan, wouldn't over Yuki though.
And as to that whole voting thing etc, it's been like that since forever, people voting for names not performances.

I couldn't catch enough of i49 to state definitively who did best on each respective cast, but, from the games i did see (TCM vs. iM, tiny bit of HRG vs. TCM, and map 1 of grand finals) I'd say:
Medic: Mirelin (knoxx played well too, and i haven't seen ~any~ shade so cant say)
Demoman: Numlocked if grand finals was how he played all tournament, Ryb if not
Pocket: Yuki (damn this kid is good, Mike was crazy too but iM was headless without Yuki)
Roamer: Gear/Aporia

I'd say that's pretty fair, I still think that in terms of natural talent, some HRG guys would be in there, but that list is pretty dead on in terms on LAN performance.
