After a billion years, rk has decided to retire. I'm going to be taking over his post as the head of tf2 news from now on. The first thing I want to do is make sure we have the best writing staff possible so that you guys WANT to go to ESEA news to read the articles. I hope to get a lot more content on the site (i.e. interesting articles that aren't just preds) as well as making sure that articles come out in time. I know a lot of the complaints have been that articles just never came out or are super late and I'm going to work hard to make sure that that's no longer the case.
With that in mind, I'm looking for new writers. If you're interested in writing for ESEA TF2 news, please send off an applications with the following:
-Name/Username
-Age/Working Situation
-The division you'd like to write for
-Previous writing experience
-Idea for a new article (i.e. not pred or preview)
-An example article. This can be a preview or a pred since this will be the typical article you'll be writing.
Once you're done, go ahead and send it off to j.oksenhendler@esportsea.com. This is a paid position so it's important that you take this job seriously. Make sure you're able to commit to an entire season before applying.

Killing-Idea for a new article (i.e. not pred or preview)
Is this an idea for a single new article (like an interview with a specific player or other important person in TF2, for example) or an idea for a series of articles (like getting different team leaders from IM every other week to share their perspectives on maps)?

Whatever your heart desires. I'm looking for great original and creative ideas.

What's the pay anyways? It would likely help you search when trying to get new employees. One of the most annoying things that have cropped up in the last few years is explaining a job without even saying a salary scale.

I'll get a sample article up and running. I would love to do this.

Bloodsire would be perfect, he's an educated writer that has been in the competitive gaming scene for a long time. His casts and narration are exciting, just as I imagine his writing would be.

It does in fact behoove the ESEA coalition that Bloodsire write for them.

Are you looking for division-specific writers? Some people will have a very good grasp of Open/IM/Main/Invite in particular and may want to do more specific content for a target audience.
A player in the much smaller IM or Main divisions is going to have a LOT of inside knowledge and intimate relationships with the other teams/players in his/her division. However, this same person may know next to nothing about Open or Invite.
Insider content is what ESEA News lacks in my opinion. I agree with the recommendations made in this thread.

When you say paid position, would it be possible to know approximately how much we're talking about?
edit: lol at -frags. Heaven forbid I want to know about possible compensation before spending hours writing a demo article only to learn pay is $5 a month
