I don't know what happened in the course of going to bed and crawling out of it, but my Deathadder's mouse wheel click is pretty silent now, no satisfying click, feels slightly "sticky"?

Has anybody else had this happen? I couldn't find a whole lot, much less any sort of fix.

Before somebody gripes about Razer and tells me to buy a different brand, the mouse was a gift + I actually like it and have had it for at least three years + ain't nobody got cash fo dat.

The same thing recently happened to my Abyssus. I'm assuming it's because Razer = Bad Brand but w/e. I've had it for about a year as well, my left click just stopped being a responsive click, and is now just mushy. I have to click in the corners.

Is there any mouse with pretty much the exact shape of the abyssus with same DPI that I could replace it with?

I'd contact razer. They actually have great customer service. Sometimes they will send you a replacement product even if yours is no longer under warrantee.

Thanks, Thrasher. Did just that. Here's hoping.

Never had issues with the scroll wheel when I used them. Mouse4 and 5 would brake.

The mouse wheel is easily the most complex and also weakest part of any mouse. If you click the middle mouse and/or scroll it a lot expect it to wear out eventually. When I had my old DA I played Battlefield BC2 and had middle mouse be my spot button. Terrible idea. I shortened the life of my scroll wheel by a lot and eventually had to get a new DA since I actually use my wheel in-game. Now I've retrained myself to almost never use the scroll wheel unless I'm in game, and never use middle click. I don't think there's a mouse out there that has a strong, long-lasting scroll wheel but if you know of one I'm curious to know more. If it were too strong it would be uncomfortable to use and if it's normal it eventually has to wear out.

I recently ordered a new Deathadder after my last one's scroll wheel started fucking up after about 2 years of service. When I got the new one, I was amazed at how more responsive every single mouse button felt compared to the old one, not just the scroll wheel. The scroll wheel on my old deathadder is very much and has a very unresponsive click feel to it compared to the new one, so it could just be a matter of wear and tear.

Try stroking it and If that doesn't work try again in a little bit. The most important thing is to make sure he doesn't feel pressured.

Just curious, is it a chroma or an older one?

I remember for a short time I used m3 as my reload key and after extended use it wouldn't register, so I ended up rebinding it to something else
