ScholarCould ESEA develop a system to properly place new teams in the right divisions. Now that main has been introduced, the open division is pretty much for new players (and it does a great job at that).
Why not have a rule that if a team has more than a certain amount of players (say 3) that have played on main+ before, then that team gets placed in IM instead of open? And if they don't meet that requirement they get placed in open instead.
I could see that working for CS, but not for TF2. There's so many variables in TF2 that it would have to be a case-by-case basis.
Or ESEA adds a class thing.

I would love to play in ESEA EU but I'm not entering our div 5 team against the likes of infused. It would be great experience if it was free, but paying to get rolled just seems stupid.

I understand ESEA has a desire for users to use their streamlined system but without citing the ddos, stv issues, and other shit I don't wanna remember, can we have a system put in place to deal with client update issues, STV servers issues, where we can play matches off client? At every exchange of server negotiation of schedule negotiation, teams inch the situation in their favor, which sometimes ends up in a 5v6, FFL, or just a shit match.
