After much brainstorming and testing, we made this map based off of this thread: http://teamfortress.tv/forum/thread/10688-what-do-you-want-to-see-in-an-ultiduo-map
A new Ultiduo map meant for a methodical playstyle. This map is designed towards surfing and bombing to win fights, and maybe a little quick fix.
It is designed for the standard soldier-medic combo in Ultiduo, the soldier-medic-scout combo in Ultitrio, as well as the same standard strategy and playstyle. I'd love if you'd give it try!

Update Notes:
Fixed a few minor bugs.
Added a side exit to spawn to avoid spam and spawn camping.
Known problems:
Purple and black boxes all over the map
Fix: put mat_specular 0 in console, disables reflections.
Since Miro is done with TF2, stegarootbeer and I have taken over design for the map.

Update Notes:

Awesome! If you have any feedback on it I could give ultitrio_complex a shot, adjust cap/spawn times and whatnot.

After playing it in the PvP Ultiduo tourney, me + Sauce thought the map had really fun dynamics, but the spawn times seemed a little long when you didn't have cap, making suicides waste a lot of time.

I find it too easy to spawn camp the top door. If you rotate to the lower door then you give up height advantage which means the team who caps the point keeps it for a while . I only played it once but that seemed to be a major problem.

Very easy to spawn camp, the point doesn't have any space for nice 2v2 action, the spawns are wayy too long and it's all very cramped. Oh and there are spaces where you can fall down to your death, whilst it has some novelty value it doesn't actually add anything other than having to avoid that area making the map even more cramped.

Stuff that people in my group thought might make ultitrio better:
- Remove the lower wall towards the outer edges (the one which is chickenwire glass on one side and makes no sense) -- the rocketjumping from below and falling around under plays would be pretty cool
- Add a respawn cabinet in the spiral staircase in the spawn, or whatever connector there is between the two entrances -- or add another upper spawn exit, so you can avoid some of the spam
And general feedback/ideas on the map:
- Move the actual spawns in the spawn back so that the spiral staircase is visible to spawners
- You're using a few half-life textures (like the water), replace them with TF ones
- Make the water drain health instead of instant kill, because we thought it would be cooler that way
- Caution tape by the pits

I never noticed that, thanks for pointing it out.
you could add a resup cabinet close to the spawn door to deny spawncamping.
agree that the lower roller door seems pretty useless, but better than nothing.
i think you should leave the grate the way it is, since it makes being on the low ground less bad

Well, the problem with this is that you're leaving a bug as a feature. Even though it might help the map, it's still a bug, it's still not something you really 'want' to see in the map, and most importantly, it's still something an update to TF2 could change without prior notice.

Well, the problem with this is that you're leaving a bug as a feature. Even though it might help the map, it's still a bug, it's still not something you really 'want' to see in the map, and most importantly, it's still something an update to TF2 could change without prior notice.
