r5 was not better (no offense)...maybe xensity was (MAYBE)...
but still I don't get the point. You guys are obviously a 3rd place team who can practice to maybe beat mix ^ or iT but you claim "there is no point we will lose". But then you also say that practicing is pointless because you can beat the lower teams with ease. I'm sure you and your team DM/MGE still and maybe give it effort when you can, but to take the stance you did in the earlier post is just silly.
I just don't get that logic of NOT TRYING because the lower competition is too easy and NOT TRYING because the upper competition is too hard?

PUFFPlatinum just needed to say "heh..we were just offclassing no big deal"
But he said the opposite and the threads blow up and the game is dead now?
What?
Pretty much. Then some people got banned because of stupid reasons and now everyone is mad at each other.

There is a lot of noise in this thread, some of it makes sense, some of it sounds like a hobo banging on a trash can. Both sides have some fair points, but wow, both sides have some awful points too.
There is a fair amount of truth behind what Platinum is saying. Of course, there is a lot of good reason behind what proponents of leaving are saying too. I think the only misstep here is that teams should never forget that in a few months time it will be the community they turn to and plea for cash to get them to LAN. That should always be on the mind of players when they are looking for incentive to try. I don't know mixups financial situation, but it always amazes me how the community comes together so generously to fund team after team for LAN after LAN. A team that pays 380 to play in a league has every right to play how they want, but I think the community has earned every right to voice how they feel about it.

No really trust me, either of those teams are just as good if not better than liT, and I never said I'm "not trying". Obviously when I play a match I'm trying to win, but I'm not going to be playing dm every day or something because it's pointless. When I played on xen and we were fighting for 4th place in a really close race I was practicing a lot because it was exciting. I think everyone knows it's highly likely we're going to get third, if not forth. We get more than 1 round off mix or iT on occasion at most, and the only team that challenges us from the other teams is weloveanime. Pretty much refer to my first post I guess
This is a dumb argument anyway, sorry puff.

So is Mixup getting fined for bad sportsmanship?

2sy_morphiendAlright so instead we watch the current clockwork and lansky continue to play on the only two teams that matter
While all paying for it
and having malware on our computer for another season
and killing our teams because of esea rules
and having to still deal with lpkane
and then having to donate money to the pariahs of 3rd and fourth place that go to LAN to smoke weed in hotel rooms with their friends (not that there's anything wrong with that)
YOURE BEING FORCED TO PLAY ESEA

I looked at page 9 and to prevent myself from getting an incurable eye or brain disease i stopped going further back.
I guess some invite players aren't very happy that open,im and main don't want to fund their prize pot anymore. And I think plat needs to realize that competition exists in all the leagues, it's not just a bigger prize that makes people want to improve

Nice to see the good ol' "TF2 is dead" argument popping up in this thread. If there's no competition for you and therefore little enjoyment then just quit. Someone will replace you and we don't need to read your misinformed garbage about comp TF2 dying.

You wouldn't want to practice to even have close games with Mix^ or iT?
Having an exciting LAN where you guys can at least take a couple rounds, is undoubtedly better than a LAN where you're going to get rolled every map.

noobiesI definitely try to not do it to other teams and would rather roll them than go huntsman.
Do you remember the number of times we had you sack on gran last and you ended up coming back with a huntsman because oops pubs.

PlatinumDo NFL quarterbacks help run day to day managerial operations for the league? The hell does being invite mean I should have to out in effort to make sure a successful migration happens. Bunch of problem makers and no solution guys in this community.
ye i didn't really read this whole thread cuz honestly theres been like 5 300+ post threads now and i'm sick of reading but I agree with this.
If you are all "oh yeah justice hahaha wooo lets ditch esea right guys" then don't pin shit on nahanni or enigma or anyone else unless they want to do it don't "nominate" people and say yea... lets go to --- league because you aren't contributing shit and you can't move an entire community over into another league. IF we did move everyone into cevo or something else, ESEA or some other league will have more incentive to play again and the stronger teams will go there once again and it will start again.
SHUT THE FUCK UP ABOUT THE STATE OF COMP TF2 IT WILL RESOLVE ITSELF IF NOT UR BITCHING WON'T HELP

Even invite players get -fragged for no reason o.O maybe it's not ESEA, maybe it's this community? People who openly speak the truth from an invite perspective get blasted for no reason other than clicks or jealousy. If anyone should be listened to i'd think it would be people like Platinum, Ma3la or -rr. The problem seems to be there's about 20 people at the top of the game who know what they're talking about and then 500 others who have no clue. Majority rules I guess. Look in the mirror.

that's retarded
this isn't an issue of game balance where being good at the game gives your argument credence, it's an argument of what we as a community should do to ensure everyone gets the best experience possible.

Ma3laa About LAN, honestly I think that lan isn't that important and is really a hassle
The reason lans are important is because there are people in the northwest and canada that ping 80-100 (or in blazes case 120, or in rr's case 55) playing against people that live in texas or chicago with 5-10 ping.
ps. watch this stopped playing in ESEA before it was the cool thing to do. yolo.

I mean aside from creating a good spectating event because everyone is on an even playing field, it's a hassle. That's the good part but there are a lot of negative things, lan is definitely important though

Stop riding Plat's dick. I'm not justifying what he did in the match (nor am I justifying ESEA's actions), but people are saying how he's saying stay with ESEA because he's getting paid to win. Are you guys forgetting that winning an ESEA LAN pays dick nothing? He could make more selling all the unsuals his fan boys give him. You actually lose money going to LAN for the most part, considering food, travel cost, hotel, etc. Why do you think teams hop around on a pogo stick until they can find a sponsors dick to land on to send them down there? ESEA is the biggest league at the moment because no one has the balls to leave. Plats point is that he's a player, whether invite or open he's still only a player. People are waiting on him and other "superstars" to make change before they do. If you don't like it then do something about it. All this bitching and moaning changes nothing, though I do believe necessary at times so that every opinion and side is heard.
P.S. The games not dead, nor is it dieing, get off the rag.
