Are they just making up formats? I see ladders for 1v1-6v6, and no page for rules or restrictions. I'm going to be upset if they just ignore the entire competitive community and make up their own stupid rules. As if we don't have enough problems being taken seriously already.

3 ladders: 1v1, 2v2, 3v3-6v6. I'm curious to see what these formats are. I mean the logical choice would be MGE for 1v1 and ultiduo for 2v2 but somehow I don't think that happened. I looked at the rules and it didn't seem to help, anyone got the inside scoop on this?

MLG probably doesnt know our rules or formats. For those of you who dont know, 1v1, 2v2, and 3v3 - 6v6 are the standard types of matches for their more popular games including cod. Im sure someone could get them to compare notes with esea or some shit and they will be set straight im terms of rules and formatting.

the head guys at MLG care a lot about the players, the games and esports in general. they've been super responsive to criticism and complaints during MLG columbus and they're pretty friendly dudes from what i've seen.

Seeing this not only brings a smile to my face and makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside, but I feel that it helps validate all the thousands of hours I and many others like me have spent playing a game most gamers outside of the PC arena have never heard of. Just being able to say, "Yeah I play TF2, its in MLG" and having my halo, cod and battlefield-playing friends understand at least one of those abbreviations makes me feel just a little bit better about how I've been spending my time.
