has anyone been watching this show? it's definitely falling in place as another strong original cartoon series in adult swim's repertoire. you can catch the episodes on adult swim's website, but they're also uploading the current episodes to youtube for a limited period of time.

someone just told me about this yesterday, I need to check it out. I was a big fan of ATHF.
I watched the first episode and was instantly hooked.
It's probably the first show in at least 2 years that has actually interested me on Adult Swim.
rick and morty forever rick and morty for a hundred years w w w dot rick and mordy adventures dot com rick and morty dot com
This show is fucking amazing.
Best part is Adult Swim is keeping the two newest episodes on their youtube channel. When a new one comes out they get rid of the old one, so it gives you a good taste of the series.

It's really good, I love how dark and absurd it gets without the characters batting an eye. the Meeseek army that desperately wanted to die was hilarious plus that really graphic rape scene in the bathroom - goddamn. ("people will get more from what he represented than the Jelly Bean he actually was"). Definitely started off on strong footing with the pilot episode and the fact that they have fairly well known comedians, John Oliver, David Cross, Dana Carvey, make guest appearances is pretty neat
it's definitely the best thing they made in a while
It's got that ridiculous Adult Swim vibe but it's controlled and fits well into 30 mins. I've really enjoyed it so far...plus Chris Parnell
Rick and morty are voiced by the same actor...
woahhhh
woahhhh
I just saw a commercial on TV of it and was wondering, is it just Back to the Future in a cartoon?
the 2nd episode, the one with the dog, was amazing. havent seen the last two yet but its pretty good overall
saw the episode with the giant and the one when they are on a spaceship that puts them in a virtual world. this show is amazing
Loved Dan Harmon's work on Community, I'll definitely check it out this weekend.

It's based on the idea of the Doc and Mharti shorts

you can sorta tell by his style of voice acting, the stuttering vs. the hiccuping in dialog
shit is so good honestly, adultswim is just giving the finger to other networks with all these new brain melting programs. I haven't seen so many good original cartoons since i was 17.
what do we got? rick and morty, king star king (fucking new show from superjail, sweet fancy moses!! (lol yankee)) space dandy is super good, plus the handful of other awesome shows already under their belt.
cartoon network needs to give them an entire network instead of just this block in the middle of the night. unless they get groovy on the internet and start doing what they have been with rick and morty on youtube, they should probably get on top of that.
aside from that, I would prefer to not be raped by a jellybean in a bathroom stall, but I'll sure as hell watch it.

Love it, started watching it because of this thread. It's made by the same guys who made mr. sprinkles, it's pretty dark:

Is this another one of their shows where you have to be stoned out of your mind to find it funny?

Not a big fan of other adult swim shows, but this is good.
Good show, I had a friend tell me to watch the most recent episode (came out last night on AS youtube channel) and I gotta say I was laughing a hell of a lot.
That ending was darkkkkkkk
Love this show so much. Love it when Rick shakes the fucking soda and throws it back ito the fridge. So many little things to catch if you watch it more then once.

This episode really reminded me that Morty is a genuinely vulnerable kid, and it seems like every experience he has sort of builds up as he's a little more reluctant to blindly help rick like he was in the first episode. For the past few episodes he's demanded incentive, or Rick has had to, like, strike a deal or something.
The fact that he just gets so traumatized and seems so incapable of handling all the crap Rick puts him through reminds me of Fry from Futurama a little bit. That show had a lot more optimism to it though, and there's a lot of Fry being totally okay with the future, especially after he starts to get used to it. Morty doesn't always adapt that well, and this episode's ending really showcases that. Futurama would have handled an episode about alternate realities a little different I think. The ending would have been more chipper, or ended with everyone just disregarding the other reality and somebody saying something funny. At the end of this one I just felt really bad for Morty. As opposed to writing a show about zany cartoon characters living with a mad genius in a static universe, they've written Morty as a real person stuck in a family of pretty mild mannered cartoon characters living with a mad genius, and every episode seems to have some consequence. The juxtaposition is pretty unlike any animated show I've watched.
It's way more than I expected from this show after seeing the first few episodes, as funny as they were. I'm really excited to see more. If the show continues to follow this pattern, I don't think it'll have the longevity of Futurama, or Family Guy, or South Park, or the Simpsons. But that might be a good thing.
