synchroWhen, if ever, do rosters lock?
Rosters will remain open throughout the season until the permanent roster lock (end of week 7). After the permanent roster lock, there will be no roster changes allowed for any reason. As we get closer to the final roster lock, we'll make a news post to give everyone a few weeks notice.
The only stipulation throughout the season is that you cannot play in the same round in more than one match.

On a more serious note, I will be paying to register for this.

Will it be possible to allow registration during the last couple days of preseason (up until 21st)? A lot of players are still lft or making teams and it wouldn't harm the schedule to allow it.

We'll allow teams who are partially registered the ability to complete their rosters right up until the first few days of the regular season, the 17th is just the last day to create a new team.
If you're on the fence about playing this season, make sure you at least create your team before the 17th and then you'll buy yourselves a few more days to get "ready" if you decide to play.

I keep forgetting to look into this, and it's honestly the only thing holding me back
Does the cevo client support osx? I'm forced to use snow leopard, so it's really my only issue.

14 new rosters added in the past two days! whoooo
just to reinforce-- please make sure to join the Town Hall group if you're playing this season. It'll be the easiest place to access updates and information related to the league. I'm also working on adding more community-oriented resources like the recruitment lists, as well as a comprehensive list of HUDs, FPS cfgs, P-REC, etc. Invite your friends!
Save yourself the trouble of sifting through forums and check out the group for all updates!

Is using boot camp not an option for you?

I believe Pipher said that they have no plans for OSX unless it becomes a really big request, so I think you're out of luck unless you Boot Camp or something.

I only have windows 8 for bootcamp (tf2 runs fine on osx, but when I use w8 its unplayable on my computer.)
And we'll...
Yea.
Guess I can't play. Bummer.

Windows 8 is fine for playing TF2. How exactly was it unplayable?
Game barely loads, and when it does its extremely choppy. Even with a config it was like at 15 frames. On osx with a config it's 120 and drops only down to 90/80 when it overheats.
x3Awesome Fog! Tired of CS:GO already? ;)
Not really, I just didn't have time to put in the effort to be a competitive player in CS:GO because of my new job.
I still felt it was right to take the break when I did, and I actually thought I'd be away from the game longer than I actually was.

Pretty sure TF2 runs better on Windows on Mac hardware than it does on OS X.

Dashner is eXtremely stoked to cast the shit outta Cevo. I am as well, but yknow, schedule shit... I probably won't be able to sit in on many casts, but eXtv will be there!

I'm going to check and see if I have the correct version they are recommending for my computer, hopefully that is the problem. If I can get at least 120 frames on osx, it should be way better on windows.

Did you use BootCamp from your OS X disc? If so, that's really old and the newer version should make your life better. You'll probably have to update to a newer OS X version, that will support the new BootCamp. I think...Mavericks is free anyways. What are the specs on your Mac? If you go the newer BC route, I would delete your windows 8 partition and start from scratch, post-OS X update. Also, why not just install Windows 7 instead? (I ran TF2 on my MacBook Pro for years, so I'm trying to be as much help as possible.)

Registration ends tomorrow, if you got a team you wanna get in you better get on it and ready up.
Its looking awesome guys! Quindali and Fog are great additions to the CEVO team and have been doing an awesome job! Nice to see eXtv on board...always <3 eXtine! The sizzling stats look amazing also so hats off to the guys who put all that together! Should be a great season and looking forward to a new fresh start for TF2!
22 new rosters in the past 4 days and now 25 teams readied up! reminder that any teams with existing rosters have an extra couple days' grace period! teams must have 6 players paid with SteamIDs to be "ready" for match scheduling. Week 1 Match 1 schedules are expected to be released early Thursday (2/20) morning so make sure you're ready in time to be scheduled! the item whitelist poll will also be up soon for league members to vote on

Hypothetically, could a team play if they don't RUP in time for Week 1 scheduling? Figured it might be relevant to clarify this. Yes, obviously you'd lose "value" because you're paying the same and playing less, but wondering what the rules are on that.

I'll let Pipher take that one, but also--
