seanbudPlatinumseanbudmaybe without LAN we won't have to kill other LAN contending teams to try and beat b4nny every season.
What are you referring to exactly? You're right, without LAN you'll just get rolled by his team season after season. Have "fun" with that. Your mumble must be so chill with how little fucks you give.
honestly it's a miracle we've made it this far without mix^ clockwork
that almost happened

Reading this thread it's almost like I'm re-reading "A Bugs life" which I often read at night to my kids. The grasshoppers need the tiny ants collecting resources for them to keep their luxurious lifestyle. But when the ants had finally had enough of being treated like crap they turn on the grasshoppers and win.
I play in ESEA and will continue to play it s long as it's up, but when the invite players are being just as obnoxious as lpkane, it's hard to feel sorry for them if they lose LAN.

d*mn those invite players who want to play lan and who have the AUDACITY to admit such a horrific goal in the light of day !!!

Seanbud u know I love you baby, but that was kinda mean towards the other teams, especially squid since he beat my team at lan, they were just the better team overall so we lost. If i'm correctly understanding what you meant by that mix clockwork post. They didn't even kill a team last season by picking up squid...

MonkeySuitE-thugOOVOOV1. lans are much easier/cheaper to get to in Europe because US public transportation sucks.
Do you have anything backing that statement?
When I was in London I flew across Europe to Poland for 20 pounds. A similar 4 hour flight from Nor Cal to Chicago is normally hundreds of dollars. If you can get to and from a lan that is relatively far away from you for less than $200 in the US then that's amazing. Also we don't really have affordable trains that take you anywhere at all.
you say norcal to chicago is normally hundreds of dollars. but the plane from Bergen, Norway to Birmingham, England was around 400 USD for me. The trip itself almost costed me 800-900 USD. It is not cheap to travel and any assumptions that "the grass is greener on the other side" is just absurd.
I am also not saying that you have it better in NA but simply assuming its better here in europe is flawed reasoning.

ninjanickI wish the drunk conversations about ESEA and CEVO during FITES were recorded. Where are eXtine and marmaduke to duke it out online as well. Yaoo?!?!
Those Dota 2 references were confusing as hell. I forget who said this, but somebody mentioned how the game should be played with only a few unlocks and perfected. The angle of the argument was "we still haven't learned everything that you can do and PUSHED the envelope all the way" I thought that was a good idea.
I hate the fucking conch, btw.

rr-Well one thing people seem to not understand is that in any game, the people at the top don't play for the bottoms benefit, and the people at the bottom don't play for the tops benefit. So that argument people are using is terrible
If it wasn't for the multitude of low division players paying for your LAN you wouldn't be going every year. You should know this because TF2 doesn't matter to any sponsor (hasn't for years) or twitch viewship. ESEA has 10x the viewership with CS than with team fortress.
Without the people at the bottom, you wouldn't have a LAN. Its incredible that there even is one right now. Odd that you ignore that.

most invite players are not acting that way, but you have to understand killing lan for them (the main reason they play this game) will upset them. it's 100% understandable why lower teams would leave esea for cevo at the moment, but acting like its going to help the game in some way is pretty wrong. it was also the esea administration that treated the lower level (and some of the higher level) teams like crap, not all of invite treating open like crap.

Yo southpaw, idk who u are but its okay. Because if esea is dead that means there's no incentive to play anymore, which means I get to play a different game and start from the bottom and work my way up again, which to me was the best part playing comp tf2. The only thing I care about is lan because equal playing fields are the best competition. Tf2 is already a dead game that isn't going to grow much larger competitive wise, its already apparent that valve sees it as a cash cow considering they give zero support. And fuck my goal is to get -40 frags why can't more of you guys -frag me

I heard somewhere that being a good bottom actually helps you do a better job at being a top. Now, I have no idea how that would apply to being in a straight relationship, but just saying...

Yeah People aren't looking to watch stvs, casts, youtube videos of b4nny or any of the top level tf2 players.....
I mean seriously, you think that you don't play for the benefit of lower level players? People watch better players than themselves to get better. Who do you think makes up a majority of the viewers on twitch? I find it very arrogant that you think you "play" only for the benefit of yourself and the rest of invite. Makes your argument that much more compelling....

What benefit does the bottom have by helping the top?
