Huge thanks for running it all again this year to everyone involved. I'm a bit disappointed I didn't get to tune it at all today while I was at uni, but breaking 100k for any charity event is a massive deal - and doing it through a 36 hour tf2 spectacle is even more impressive.
At risk of sounding a little corny, it really warms my heart to see both the effort that has gone into maintaining this event, and the response that its received from this community, and the gaming community at large.

So, people watched 60,513,600 minutes of content during ToTH. That's 42,023 days, or 115.13 years.
That's a lot of time, you guys.

Was unable to see any of this during my time at work. Whenever I had time to tune in, I always seemed to come upon a "We'll be right back" screen! :(
I am glad to see that so many people were able to tune in and support the event, and that so many people were able to participate. It's a great cause, and every one of you should feel even a little bit of pride. I tip my hat to you all
I'll go shoot myself for that pun

Used up my month's bandwidth limit by watching the stream by a sizable amount but it was worth every second of it. Massive congratulations to everyone who made this ToTH even bigger and better than last year's, the production quality simply blew me away, there wasn't a moment where I wasn't entertained. Big shoutouts to Kurt Lange Seanbud and everyone behind the scenes who made this feat possible. Take a long rest you've all earned it!

I just watched the ending part and the outro.
What an awesome weekend, thanks to everyone involved!
Also, I really hope that the TotH-Hat gets accepted by VALVe :D

What a great thing for the community, everyone involved should be very proud. Robin showing up at the end and seeing Mackey and Tyrone back playing was a really nice way to cap it off.

There's a small contingency of LoL players at my school. Today I overheard them talking about that "hat charity on twitch".
Front page strats.

Awesome event, didn't have time to watch every event but left the stream open the whole weekend, the stream production always seemed top notch. Really impressed with the Jump segment (as always fantastic and very interesting, the jump community is awesome) and the dota segment (congratz atmo that was a sick way to pull it off, and lange as well)
For some reason I thought Robin was a bit anticlimatic, but it helped us so all is good in the end.
I can see this becoming the Awesome Games Done Quick of TF2, and leaving a huge legacy behind.
If you look at AGDQ improvement it went from $53,379.83 (2011) > $149,044.99 (2012) > $448,423.27 (2013) > $1,031,159.00 (2014)
Granted this is a shorter format, I still can see a lot of run for improvement and growth for tip of the hats, and it helps not only the kids but tf2 community and the competitive community, I'm sure a lot of people will experiment a few lobbies after the event. Great event overall.

This whole thing was awesome. I have such warm fuzzies inside from everything. It was a really bad weekend for me (one of our co-workers and my close friends passed away) so having this to tune into and see the amount we raised definitely balanced things out a bit.
I'd really like to help out a lot more next time around, if you guys end up needing another host or caster or whatever, please don't hesitate to ask. I figure I owe ya'll now after winning like 800 hats or whatever... I'm going to feel like that guy in the meme who's trying to hold all those limes... but with hats.

You're all fantastic, organizers, participants, casters, and community members. It's incredible (and heartwarming) to see a community rally around a cause like this. $105,000 is completely mindblowing, it makes me proud to be even the most minuscule and silent part of this community.
I can't even conceive a suitable way to thank the folk who put so much time into organizing this and pulled it off without a hitch.
Felt physically deflated when the stream went offline...

So the br community has been trying to keep our hopes up/ the community alive, bringing along with this casts of the most expected matches...
On sunday, my team (united 6) played against a team called eG (Evolution Gaming) and it was a very expected match because there's some beef between us ;), and although it's probably nothing compared to what you guys get on your streams we were able to get 130 viewers, which was really astounding.
Nevertheless, the casters also talked a little bit about tipofthehats and tried to explain the few viewers there were what it was, and I thought I'd like to share that with you :p
