Typically when traveling between the Bos-Wash megalopolis I use Amtrak. The train has never been a bad experience for me. But if you want the cheaper route you could prob find a megabus or something.

i took greyhound from philly to boston for pax last year. $50 round trip. best way to go. youd spend more than that in tolls alone if you drove.

The only downside is the Manhattan port authority. You will have to change buses there. There are no benches to sit down on by the gates so you might have to stand around for a while. I also saw a bum washing his balls in the mens room sink there, so avoid that bathroom, or at least the sink.

don't fly into Boston unless you absolutely have to. Check flights to Newark (EWR) or La Guardia (LGA) first if Philly seems too expensive.

flights are not an issue, just looking for ways to reduce the cost of things like car rental and accommodation.

I prefer LAN VANNNN.

My plan is to rent a car/SUV/van and how many people who want in will depend on what I get. It might be a bit challenging if we get over 5+ but maybe I can get a good price on a big passenger van. I'm not opposed to it if it gets more people to the LAN.

flame: It's definitely easier/cheaper to fly into New York or Philly but there's always the occasional great deal. I doubt it though since on one search I did a flight from Europe to Miami is cheaper than a flight to Boston.

Is there going to be a team signup before getting to the venue?

It's still early, so I'll make a team list probably around August. I don't want to make a team list now and then have everyone change it around constantly.
