The g400s and deathadder are the only options in my mind, with most anything else you're going to get angle snapping and prediction. Not good stuff for gaming.

Deathadders have a pretty great warranty if that concerns you. I used the 2012 for about a year and a half, and when the scroll wheel broke I was able to just take it back to the store for credit. Got myself a 2013 with that credit, and it's pretty comfortable. Good side button placement too.

mouse aficionados Allen "khorma" Nyugen and Loronix "Loronix" Loronix swear by the g502. If that's not enough incentive to get it, I don't know what is

pros:
-has apparently the most accurate sensor on the market(currently)
-clicks are good and precise
-made with good materials(professional quality mouse)
-the logitech drivers for this mouse are insane(lots of cool features)
cons:
-the shape looks like the R.A.T. 7
-has a forced claw grip shape(negates palm grip users)
-there are four individual mouse feet pads on this mouse(seems excessive)
-heavier than most people will probably like(but does include weight tuning)
-has a sniper button for fast low dpi switch(may be a pro to some ppl)

i chose the Zowie FK over the g502, Loronix was upset with me

The g502 had great potential, but I can't recommend it at all...

-The one I tried would skip consistently when moved rapidly to the left, no matter the surface.
-The metal mouse wheel has so much play it actually rattles when the mouse is moved quickly and stops.
-It is excessively heavy.

What kills me is the sensor really is immaculate at all DPI's when it isn't malfunctioning, the buttons are well-placed, it has side and "free" scroll, good macro abilities, and the grip is divine for hybrid clawers like myself :/ Coulda been a classic.

I recommend Zowie.

They tend to do that yes, but it seems Logitech fixed the problem with the G400s. At least mine works fine for almost a year now

G400, can't go wrong with Logitech's superior click latencies.

Depends on your grip tbh. I had a deathadder (for years) and I bought a g502 recently because the grip suits me better. I'm pleased with it so far. If you don't mind it being slightly heavier (doesn't feel heavy to me at all though) I'd say the g502 is an upgrade over the g400. The cable isn't shit at least.

But yeah it is ugly though. Edit: Oh and if your hands are quite large you might want to pass. And I have none of the problems stabby mentioned (sounds like you got a bad one).

If you like a heavy mouse, I would go with the deathadder over zowie. Also, you should get a deathadder if you palm your mice.

if you decide to go with the DA, consider the Black Edition. Essentially the same mouse, just lacks the rubber grips + LEDs which significantly drops the price down to around $45.

DA 3.5g best

reqqyum, Im pretty sure the deathadder was designed for clawgripping

nope, it's loosely based on the imo/wmo shape which is a godsend for palm grippers, but a little different in ways that make other grips easier than the imo/wmo shape

i have had both
