RadmanNot enough AoE damage to discourage deathballing...?
50 dmg per sticky is still 400 dmg on a full clip. deathballs aren't hard to hit w stickies. stickies hit multiple players.

omg this gives me so many ideas for lineups. Imo, while it's a pretty big blow to demo, maybe it opens up for a universal utility class in a competitive setting? If this is here to stay, there's no reason not to run pyro or something. I've been waiting for a big change to urge people to try new lineups, it's a discouraging nerf to a lot of people but it could open the doors to a lot of new players trying new team comps that might make the game a lot more interesting. Mixed with a shorter game time, TF2 could get uber competitive.
most of you are fucking idiots btw
Oh my god I don't have a cup big enough for all these delicious tears
lol, they can nerf demo all they want but stickies are still really good and you'd be dumb to not run a demo so you can have a pyro for mid.
btw you're really dumb.

in other news, you actually reload a rocket now when you reload a non-stock rocket launcher

GTSBYbl4nkIf someone can actually explain why this is a bad change to me, then I'll change my mind.if for no other reason, you can't drop a medic with a kritz sticky* now
so if you really whiff a krit sticky, you should be rewarded with 150+ dmg? in that case, a whiffed krit rocket should also do at least 150dmg. i mean the gun has half the ammo of stickies.

True but dps output decreases significantly (I don't think this is a point of argument), and as a result, since the heals per second a medic puts out are unchanged, we are left with an objectively weaker weapon which is one step closer to being out-healed.

Devil's Advocate here...
In HL, at least, demo and hwg are considered the "power classes." Losing one of them is a bigger deal than say your soldier or scout. Maybe this is a class balance update, meant to spread out the distribution of importance amongst the classes. We've become accustomed to the paradigm of not all classes being created equal, when that's not the guiding philosophy at the game's heart.
If you've been playing since launch, you have to understand that Valve has always been making dramatic changes like these, and they take their time before they do. We get upset, we adapt, we move on.

if you whiff a sticky, doesn't that do 0 dmg, by definition

Isn't it going to be EU fortress now? Demos won't be the heavy damage deals with stickiesand they won't be the main damage dealers. as much. So that means Soldiers will have to work with demos on pushes.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe EU TF2 centered around pocketing demos, so it'd be the opposite of what you said

I believe it's, "minicrits targets when fired at there back at close range", not at there back or at close range. I could be wrong though
