Seasonal allergies already murder my eyes enough I was wondering if f.lux worked for anyone in TF2 (or any other source game for that matter). If not I was wondering if there would be an ingame way to lower my color temperature as to spare my retinas.
I don't use flux anymore but it works when TF2 is in windowed mode, as far as I remember.

I heard sweetfx work(ed)
And you can always make multiple profiles in your monitor settings

ExquisiteStoneJust googled this F.lux, is it worth getting?
I've been using it for a few months and it definitely makes it easier on your eyes, doesn't work in fullscreen though.

Thanks for the input guess Ill play in windowed. Yes i would say its worth it. Removes a lot of strain from your eyes and is unnoticeable after a short period. You still have to disable it for color sensitive stuff like art or w/e but otherwise its great.
if you don't mind darkness and you're in fullscreened use mat_monitorgamma 2.6, it gave me less eye strain
I use f.lux in windowed mode, the only downside is that your fps drops during the 20s transition period. It's still definitely worth using.
also if your eyes are being destroyed by allergies, just take 2 bathroom dixie cups and fill them with water, press them against your eyes, drain the water as you blink (use a separate cup for each eye to prevent contamination). It helps a ton for me.

I use it for tf2 because its a brighter game but I disable it for csgo because there's a lot more dark areas

Yup. Whichever you have on hand. I had to do that when I didn't have any left :x

Tweak the settings to what feels comfortable and it shouldn't be destructive to your visibility.
I use it all the time. Make sure you set it so that it slowly changes over 1 hour otherwise it'll murder your FPS when it does change.
i never thought about having f.lux for allergies, i just got it so the brightness on my monitors aren't destroying my eyes anymore during evenings/nights.
i really like it in tf2 and dota2 !
