Yet, there's someone who's better than him.

I only watch ryan lockwood doing goldeneye steet speedrun on repeat when im bored, that pretty much sums up my interest in speedruns

I just watched that whole thing and my jaw was dropped almost the whole time. I might have to get into Mirror's Edge speedrunning now.
mirror's edge is cool but it's kinda retarded, in difficulty i mean. i've been in the community for like 3-4 years and can't do most skips :l

MiNiJust started speedrunning battleblock theater
This is epic example of how Speedruning game should look like, let me know how you're doing :)
Super Meat Boy has Wrong Warp now.
If anyone has recently started running games, how have you improved over the past few weeks?
I started speedrunning Sunshine any% in mid July, and it's cool to see your own improvement as you go. My first run was a 4:48:57, and my current PB is a 1:51:28. While it's still a ways off of the world record time of 1:19:24, one of the things I like most about running is looking back at your previous runs and seeing how much you've improved in that time.
I'm going to start learning to run a few of the classic mega man games, and maybe cave story. IS there generally a place to find a route for the games, or should I just be copying other runs?

Try the SDA forums
Another good place to go is the #megaman channel on the SpeedRunsLive IRC. You'll find a lot of people there who would probably be willing to help you out. As for Cave Story, there's also a #cavestory channel that seems to have some number of people in it as well.
There's probably also topics on SDA that have some details in them, but especially for more popular speedruns, those SDA threads tend to be outdated at times. They can be really amazing sources to look at, but the best place to learn about your game is by watching other runs, especially if they're not the WR.
