News of Amazon swooping in to buy Twitch comes after multiple reports that indicated Google-owned YouTube was looking to buy the streaming service for $1 billion.

According to The Information's report citing sources, a deal between Twitch and Amazon remains unclear but that an announcement could be made "shortly." Polygon has reached out to Twitch and Amazon for comment.

Would the current copyright issue with vods playing copyrighted music be reverted with Amazon? Amazon still sells music, and I don't see that being a huge change if they're affected by the Music Industry the same way Google is.

I'm actually not sure about this one. Google will imo momentarily implement their social media and other features that we know from YouTube. On the other side, I'm not very common with Amazon, but some people say they practices are even worse.

Who knows, we will see what will happen.
