I pretty much just surf and scrim these days and for some reason it works for me.
So what do you guys do? Not asking for help, just curious.

I practice rollouts on my team's matchserver, play on DM servers and scrim.
Dm/mge is pretty good for dm skills if you ask me, either way practice plus dm/mge combo will get you better soon
I try to do surf/jump/mge/dm an hour before scrims or so to work on everything while not staying bored.
Mge, dm, center if I want to feel like killing myself and scrims.
Maybe some MGE but that's because I like playing it.
I'll play some public, then 10 minutes before a game I put a sticky on the floor/wall and jump around it trying to track it.
I do that mainly because I find it really helps me to get focused 100% as I think about what I need to do/remember for the game. So I don't think I really need to practice a whole lot anymore.
For demo it's hard to really practice, DM servers and MGE don't really offer much so I'll just go over maps again and again, finding and testing traps, learning spam arcs etc.
I should really be practicing rollouts though.
Scrim Days
* DM Midday.
* Break.
* Surf to calm down and relax before scrims (this does not work for many lol).
* Scrims.
* DM after scrims.
Match Days
* DM as much as I can that day. Sometimes an hour, sometime 3. I usually either stream or listen to a symphony so it doesn't feel like I'm 'wasting' time.
* Take a half hour break an hour before prematch scrims.
* Surf for half an hour.
* Scrim.
* Match.
* Post-match warmdown DM/ surf while talking over match with team.
* Team non-tf2 games.
No scrim/ match days
* Pub and pug.
* Surf.
* I don't really play too much on Friday/ Saturday. Only for pure fun, no "practice" unless I'm really in the mood.
I don't really do that much to practice most days so I guess that's why I'm perpetually open despite over a year. I guess I don't mind it because I practice instruments instead of TF2. I think I might actually practice next season though, it depends.
I can't really suggest this to most people, but I practice (as medic) by only playing scrims and matches. If I were to pug as medic, my focus would not be as good in pugs because of how casual it is. I (and/or my pug teammates) might do things that wouldn't be smart or optimal in a real match, etc. It's mostly just a thing where any time I play medic, I'm totally focused on trying as hard as I can to stay alive, manage ubers, have solid positioning, and do well. That's why I only play medic in scrims and matches. It's not an act of me being lazy or not liking TF2, I just really feel like it makes me worse to pug as a medic. However, I won't have any issues ringing for friends or another invite team, because at least it feels much more organized than a random pug.
The reason why I say that I can't suggest that to most people is that a lot of people still need to work on a lot of medic skills, which can be accomplished through pugs. Indust pugs as medic religiously, so it's not a bad thing by any means.
All of this also explains why I have only 2000 hours on the game (instead of having 5000+ like everyone else), because holy shit I get that question a lot.
pub 24/7, no respawn, pro-only, ctf_turbine all day
I have scrims 6-7 nights a week from playing both 6's and HL, so I typically only dm 30 mins before scrims. Playing newbots while I wait for a slot in the DM servers. I don't want to play TOO much otherwise I'll get burnt out and that's easy when you scrim 6/7 nights a week. If I didn't play HL, I'd try to get in on more in-house pugs.
BuckleyI practice rollouts on my team's matchserver, play on DM servers and scrim.
pretty much this for me, DM servers in aus arent gimp so you can actually practice as demo, preparing for i52 i also tried to spend a bit of time watching demos and such, just general analysis of my own play rather than anything else
Hard to find the motivation to play tf2 outside of scrims/matches anymore.
I pug and MGE, now. I'm not brave enough to do SoapDM servers yet.
Used to play a lot of mge to get better, but i only play mge/dm for fun nowadays.
Pretty much scrims only with some tr_rocket_shooting to warmup.
I find a couple good CD's i haven't listened too in a while, and then DM until I end up back on the starting map.
Used to play loads of DM as Scout now I only really play mixes and scrims and occasionally surf or Jump maps just to relax before games.
i dm on tf.tv dm servers occasionly
other that that i only play matches and scrims
if i was dedicated enough i would do jump maps but I'm 2 dumb for that
usually before a match ill make sure im not braindead because braindead roamer is a lot worse than normal roamer
Load up these videos and practice rollouts/play on dm server until my ears hurt.
i pub a lot
whenever i try to dm or mge, everyone leaves :<
the only way for me to do either of those for long is alias or ask friends to mge with me
for sniper - harvest servers for an hour then take a 30 min break to listen to music.
scout - dm/mge/ skial pub for an hour then take a 30 min break to listen to music.
