With 7 days until the season starts, I want to know what everyone's predictions are. Not asking for a Stanley Cup winner, but what teams will do well and what teams won't?
East
Top 3: Boston, Tampa Bay, and Pittsburgh
Bottom 3: Buffalo, Carolina, and Ottawa
West
Top 3: Anaheim, Chicago, St. Louis
Bottom 3: Calgary, Edmonton, and Winnipeg
not much of a change from last season.
Nucks will sneak into the 8th spot in the West and get cranked by Kesler :<

Wild will improve a bit if they can stay injury free.
GgglygyWHOS UP FOR A HOCKEY POOL
Please. Also, I'd like to wish the best of luck to the Oilers in their quest to legitimize the Flying V.

i bleed orange and black. gotta go with the flyers. its not gonna be a cup year, but hopefully we will make it pretty deep into the playoffs. next year when some of our defensive prospects make it into the lineup things could be lookin up!
Roy was really good in his first season as head coach for the Avalanche. I hope they can improve and carry it over to the post season this time.
I'm hoping the Flyers can get a good season going. Made it to the playoffs last year, just barely lost to the Rangers. I don't really think they have what it takes to win the cup, with lacking defense and sometimes spotty goal tending. But hey, they're my team. Go Flyers.

Im a caps fan, i just hope that the new coach and GM are alright and the capitals go far in playoffs
Devils fan :3
Brodeur is out of the picture, which was a solid ~20 years with him. Schneider is now in, who is incredibly good and I could see him playing in New Jersey until he retires. I'm fine with that.
All of the Devils who are getting old (Elias, Zubrus, Jagr, Salvador, Zidlicky) also have a giant impact on the team, so I'm really hoping they get some solid, young talent soon. Though, Jagr said he would play until he's 50 if he keeps getting the ice time that the Devils have been letting him have. I'm also fine with that, because Jagr led a ton of offensive stats for the team last year.
Originally, I didn't think Devils would make playoffs this year, but they aren't looking bad. I think they will be in a close race for a wild card spot. There's a chance they might grab third in the division if they play out of their minds, but I think the Flyers or Blue Jackets will edge them out of the third spot.
I think the Blue Jackets and Avs will be very threatening to their respective conferences this year. They might not finish with a #1 seed, but they are improving rapidly.

I'm expecting the Sharks to play really well in the regular season, then fuck up in the first round of the playoffs. Again. For the ~5th time. ;=;
Leafs to suck and then draft Connor McFranchise
Gonna say Dallas makes western conference finals
the talent theyve assembled the last 2 years is pretty crazy

WEST
Blackhawks
Stars/Wild (one or the other)
Avs
Blues
Kings
Ducks
Canucks
Sharks
EAST
Bruins
Habs
Detroit
Lightning
Rangers
Penguins
Jackets
Flyers

Does anyone have experience running one? I'd be willing to run it, but it would be better to have someone who knows what they're doing better.
Sharks will forever be my team even after that defeat last year. Also, I've adopted the Colombus Blue Jackets as my new East Coast team.

Sadly, yes. But Wings won anyway :)
