like i said before, the more the technology and diversity that republic city grow, the more a subset of bending becomes accessible to more benders. it just comes with the developing world. lavabending is still relatively rare because i'm guessing not a lot of people knew you could do that. levitating is still insanely rare because of what it requires you to do and i don't think any avatar could do that considering they're the fucking avatar and literally cannot.

"Let go your earthly tether. Enter the void. Empty, and become wind."
Still a kind of deus ex machina tbh, but also cool because they revisited the "Let go of the earthly things you care about" philosophy

Honestly, I stopped watching a couple episodes before the second season finale because of how much I disliked Korra as a character and how I thought the villain was really boring. It gets better though?

season 3 is a big turning point for the quality of the show overall
the villain is a lot less black/white, and there's actual character development instead of the retarded love triangle from the past seasons
so yeah, it gets better

korra was one of my least favorite characters (her arrogance and thick-headedness and i could go on forever about it though i won't) but god damn her development made her one of my favorites after asami and azula.
as for the last episode i feel like it was a little bit rushed but time restraints etc so i will let that pass but good fucking LORD why cant i just have an entire series about korra and toph just doing things i would pay money *_*
if there is one thing I'd throw infinite money at it's an Avatar Sandbox rpg, like it would be so fucking awesome, and a lot more lore could be added to its universe.
it's too bad nickelodeon doesn't ever know what to do with avatar and don't realize how much money they're actually sitting on
but i guess that's what happens when they think all people want is spongebob lol!

Imo, S3 is/was astronomically better than S2
BonafideWhat did you guys think of the last episode?
Srs spoiler alert
And I would throw quite a bit of money at a Legend of Korra / Avatar: TLA mmo / rpg, no doubt, no hesitation. Also, anyone try that new LoK game?
Meelo and Ikky are still annoying - but more importantly, dat swamp nuance. It was cool as hell that Korra got to do the see-through-the-roots thing, but I saw that coming a mile away lol.
s2 was dogshit, if you want to watch the series just read the synopsis on wikipedia and save yourself the trouble
lok game was not that great but its sure fun as hell abusing firebending and airbending
Will this season also have 12 episodes? the wiki doesn't say anything so I thought 5 was going to be the last already (it already seemed so short and weird) you guys know more about this?
FanofAngelsZhu Li basically my favorite character now.
they are finally developing her character :D

omg lok has been so good season 3 and this season 4, honestly if it werent for the nostalgia factor i think season 3 would have been on par of not better than atla. lok has been solid in general except for like season 2 i suppose
Found this on reddit and it made me chuckle

Zhu Li is a total bad ass and I can't wait to see more of her

atla just did everything so right, it was really hard to make something that good again and surprise everyone once again, I think they did pretty well with lok, but like Wreath said they don't know how much money they're sitting on. Personally I'd love to see another avatar, but in the past instead of the future (avatar Wan part was just amazing), and can also explain more things about the avatar universe

It was said previously the season would have 13 episodes.
Bonafideatla just did everything so right
I think that is partly due to the nostalgia others have mentioned, as ATLA had many problems of its own: Unsettled story lines(they did release the comics eventually), an insignificant plot device(Aang didn't really solve anything if you think about it) which was then solved by a deus ex machina(energy bending) which they had time to prepare for throughout the entire last book but only introduced at the end, etcetera. What ATLA did have was a bunch of nice philosophical ideas and the characters to represent and vocalise those thoughts.

A S A M I B O Y S
man its so nice seeing your favorite character who's part of the fucking team have half an episode to something she's doing instead of getting a minute of screentime total for 4 episodes
also
serious spoiler but not one if you watched the korra panel at nycc:

I'm so glad Zhu Li's actually getting character development and Asami's making appearances again.
And the Ep. 6 trailer?
The hype train is goin full steam ahead.

god DAMN the beifongs do NOT fuck around.
i'm really liking the series so far, and that teaser is getting my hyped up, the only thing is that those mechs looks so out of place in this show.

I think a different animating team does the 3d animation. It really does look out of place because of the higher frame rate on the mechs compared to the rest of the animation.
