delpox3Anyone have a tip regarding washing a Qck+ mousepad? It's really dirty and i dont feel its damaged much. (I dont have an automatic dishwasher at home)

I have ordered a Pure Track Talent, and i wanna compared them.

Thanks!

I've washed my Qck+ in a sink with lukewarm water and soap and a soft toothbrush. It takes a while to fully dry but make sure it's adequately dry before you use it.

You can safely put a QCK+ in a dryer with a towel and put it on Knit Dry (Low Temp settings, the no temp air dry setting works obv)

I feel there has been little mention of glass pads so I figured I'd put in my 2 cents. I recently got my hands on a steel series experience i2 from ebay and first off, if your mouse can't track it at first don't panic. Some mice will need re-calibrated like my deathadder.

Pros-very smooth and very consistent glide. They are supposed to last nearly forever which I can't comment on but is a huge upside to me if it is true.

cons-Kind of small compared to what I am used to at 10 inches by 12. I play at about an 8 inch 360 and if it were any lower sense I feel the pad would be too small. They are hard to find.(don't order from unbeatable deals)

Overall worth the money if you can find one, don't play with a low sense, and like a low friction pad.

i definitely like icemats, but even the steelseries one was too small for me. i kept gliding over the edges.
i would pay well to get a huge icemat, but they'll never get manufactured.

Which zowie mouse do you guys prefer?

I use a palm grip, so I was looking into the eVo, but the FK1 is a fair amount lighter. Im not sure if the sensor is different or not, and i dont even know what the differences are between those and the AM.

the am/fk/fk1 are awful for palm grip unless you have really small hands. get an evo for sure.

I have the EC1 Evo and it is excellent for a palm grip (at least for me) and generally I have had no complaints about it. The mouse wheel did develop a slight squeak but it disappeared randomly and hasn't come back.

Do you have any problems with it being unable to track at high movement speed? I have an EC1 eVo CL and recently I've been having that issue. My mousepad is also getting quite old. What kind of pad do you use? I like one that's about 11"x17"

I just got an artisan hayate and its incredible. My old puretrak talent was fast but this is much faster. I wasn't sure if I would like it but its great. Also my talent used to slide on my smooth desk, but the hayate is going nowhere. The only downside is that even the large size is significantly smaller than my talent but it's still decent sized.

I would recommend adding the g100s to the loose budget section, as it is one of the best mice out there regardless of its low price

If someone wants to take charge, just message me and I'll sticky that one. I'll keep this one up until that new one is complete.

EDIT: same for the keyboard thread too

I know it's a dumb question, but...
Since I have a rather strange setup (yay for laptops), is it possible to cut a mousepad down to size without completely destroying it?

So I'll be getting a zowie eVo mouse pretty soon, and I'm transitioning from some staples mouse missing feet on a cloth mousepad with about a 7 inch 360.

I was wondering if the zowie tf rough, speed, or the steelseries qck or qck heavy would have a better feel, pretty similar to a crappy mouse missing feet on a cloth mousepad. I like to have pretty controlled mouse movements but when I flick for rocket jumps I don't want to pad to feel too grainy.

Not sure if this is 100% relevant but I didn't want to make a new thread for it. I lowered my sens a few days ago to ~36cm/14" per 360 and I've been getting a weird problem while rocket jumping where the mouse stops tracking properly and I end up not really jumping anywhere. I'm not sure if it's a problem with the mouse or me being an idiot. Anyone had a similar problem with any mice? I'm using an FK atm with a puretrak talent.

^ I don't think you're hitting the limit of the fk with a 14inch 360/ unless ur really whipping that thing around trying to rocket jump but then even still it would be hard to do.

clean mouse surface, check for dust on sensor the usual etc.

Which dpi setting are you using on your mouse? I've had the same problem before with an ec1 evo and a puretrak talent.

Well presuming he's using an FK with 3090 and not FK1 hitting malfunction speed isn't too difficult at a lower sens, particularly when rocket jumping. As suggested make sure there isn't something like a strand of hair or dust that got tucked away next to the sensor, and possibly try jumping at a good bit faster sens and see if the problem still persists.

If it doesn't then you're simply going too fast for the FKs sensor at 14"/360*, so you could either permanently raise it or, presuming you're wanting to stick with the FK shape, the FK2 will be available for purchase within the next couple of weeks and retains the same dimensions while using a 3310 sensor (won't get into the tracking differences between 3090 and 3310 but the 3310 is generally considered better and has a good bit higher malfunction speed, so you should be able to use 14" with an FK2 absolutely no problem).

Yeah I constantly check that my mousepad is clean as well as the mouse itself, I guess I'm just going too quick with my rocket jumps. I've been using 450 dpi forever on the FK if that means anything. I found on scout that I couldn't really get used to a quicker sens so I put it back down, I guess I'll just have to take it easy in the future with solly. Cheers for the comments.

I don't think this question was adequately answered, can anyone deny/confirm high speed tracking issues? I'm considering getting this mouse. Are there any other important things to know about it?

Any good budget mice (up to $50) with no accel? Was looking at the G100S but reviews say it has a problematic left click. Is Ninox Aurora worth it?

I won an In Win Rocker Mat in a raffle that I thought I would never use, but I ended up really liking and using over my old QcK. It's a little cold to the touch sometimes but other than that it's great. Not sure how big you're looking for but I think mine is 9"x 12" or so.
