Hey guys! Its been a while since I last posted here, but I’ve been working on something for the past two years, and I can finally share some more with the public. Since i got my roots in the TF2 scene, I figured you guys deserved a bit of an early look at the site.
anyhow, I’ve been working on a project called weav, a new site for streaming: http://www.weav.tv/
we’re on the cusp of going public; we can finally talk about it and we’re accepting sign ups (see last page of link) too!

seems like it could be good, if it catches on. which is a tall order in itself. do you think you could go a little more in depth about the things that would make this better than twitch?

Sadly we can’t be quite too public with all of the ideas we’re implementing, but one of the bigger things you’ll notice off the cuff will be the live DVR capabilities (that would be the third slide). Hope that makes you a bit more excited!

Hey guys, Thanks for making this thread for me, I was planning on making one this morning (as I wasn't sure wither to place this in the projects or esports category) but while I was away in dreamland you beat me to it. Thanks for that!
As for the CS:GO clip, I'm pretty terrible at that game so I just spectated the #1 pub game at that moment, which happened to be that guy. I'm a big newbie in that scene, so I really wasn't aware of that going on. A friend of mine is sending me a new clip so we'll get that replaced ASAP. Thanks for letting us know!

Two of the more unique points are primarily that we're going to have live DVR capabilities, so you can rewind live, all that kinda stuff.
The "discover" page you should see as a type of netflix suggestions style thing for similar streams to the ones you like (enabling you to "discover" more appropriate content) as well. We will also have a system that will rank streams not just by amount of viewers, but also on other metrics.
It's important for streamers to have more possibilities to get the viewers that might be interested in their content, as well as viewers to find more content in the style they love. Its like a dating service for viewers and streamers, we want to create happy couples.
