As soon as I saw the ball even touch the ground you *had* to know McCarthy was going to challenge, and it bounced out, not terribly surprising, even though he kinda recovered.

Now it's time for the sadness bowl.

Looks like Indy goes to NE to play Tom Brady at foxboro for the AFC Championship game, goddamn, though it'd be Denver.

let's finish this NE lets go.

The colts actually managed to look better than their best bad team ranking I had them at. Things are going to be *crazy* here next week, considering the Pats v. Colts rivalry is well... strong, and the Patriots won 42-20 just a bit over a month ago at Lucas Oil.

Agreed... you don't turnover the ball at Gillette stadium, and Luck almost always throws 1 or 2 picks a game. Seahawks to roll Green Bay as well.

both of luck's picks today were basically punts. he gets a lot of those

Peyton missed a lot of throws he would usually make. It sucks because you really want the guy to get another ring but he struggles quit often when it comes to the playoffs. I'm glad for Luck though. There's really nothing to not like about him. I hope he does well, he has an extremely bright future.

Peytons just not the player he was 2 seasons ago. I'd say he's going downhill which really sucks for the guy. I consider him one of the greats but with a late decline in his effectiveness might cause him to be out of the run for THE best down the road. I'm glad Luck played well. Always been a luck fan since day 1 at stanford

Well Peyton was going *ham* earlier in the season and then he got beat up pretty badly, and he's been limping across the finish line ever since. If he *wants* to come back the Broncos would have to be smoking some pretty good stuff to say no, but I think at this point it's basically up to him, and how his legs feel. Even a 38 year old Peyton easily surpassed a ton of QBs much younger than him lol.

You can't really think of it that way. The interception is likely to be returned for more yards than a punt, and it changes the momentum of the game. The defense gets less rest, and they're forced to trot on the field immediately following the interception. You also possess the ball for a shorter amount of time.

There's a reason you don't turnover the ball against teams w/ a great qb, they'll eat you alive. Three of the four teams still alive are top 4 in that link. Granted it's based on both interceptions and fumbles, but logic still remains, don't turnover the ball under any circumstance. It's unavoidable, but throwing Cutler bombs against double coverage won't win you the Superbowl.

Yeah the decision to throw deep like that twice, had me thinking that Pat McAfee was hurt when he got hit on his first punt, and so they were just concealing that fact by having Luck throw up the deepest possible pass he could - but that wasn't the case. I mean, at the end it's not a huge impact, but McAfee is *damn* good at pinning teams usually, so it really surprised me that they chose not utilize him lol.

Reading the sportsball news today was really upsetting lol. Peyton didn't have "one of his worst games since his 42-0 loss to the Jets in 03'" and other such complete nonsense lol. The Broncos played like a team that already had it in the bag. Yeah, Peyton missed a bunch of throws, but their multiple pro-bowl-having defense didn't even stop Boom Harron from running effectively, and they dropped several passes that were right on the money.

If the Colt's can bring the intensity they did against the Broncos they *might* be able to at least make it a game against the Patriots.

A bunch of idiots are similarly making something of Peyton's constant losses in the playoffs, well let me drop some knowledge. The majority of his career was played out in the AFC South - one of the WEAKEST divisions in football. You'd have to supremely screw up to miss the playoffs when your division rivals are Tennessee, Houston, and Jacksonville. So long story short, you've had a lot of very questionable Colts teams make the playoffs fairly consistently, and then completely flounder in the playoffs against a much better team lol. Plenty of years skating into the playoffs at #1 in the AFC South with a 10-6 record (plenty of divisions, you can't even *make* the playoffs with a 10-6 record lol).

Pack had so many chances to finish that game. That's what they get for not scoring in all those redzone trips. Hopefully the pats lose tonight.

I turned the shite off at 19-7 with 4 mins to play. The Packers couldn't hold a lead that even the Redskins would have. That felt too scripted for my taste.
