elenmine has gotta be maplestory. my cousins introduced it to me and it was such a fun game that didn't focus on grinding as much, but it was more about the socializing with others. i remember id go to the potion house and 50 people were there and we'd just talk about stuff. nowadays, not so much. post your favorite nostalgic games
maplestory was all about grinding haha but i agree on the socializing part, some of my oldest internet friends come from that game
i guess gunz/ut2k4/pre-bigbang maplestory for pc games for me
console games would be shit like bloody roar and bust a groove and nights into dreams
not necessarily my favorite games but games that just make me think about my childhood

Besides the obvious ones like Final Fantasy, DQ8, etc. I would have to say TimeSplitters definitely.

just wanted to pose a question here: how old were you when you made your most nostalgic gaming memories?
I'm 19, and my fondest memories of gaming were from ps2/xbox/gamecube and GBA/DS games, because they were fresh and new when i was old enough to fully understand them, unlike the n64 games that were as old as I am. like watching the cutscenes in Final Fantasy X blew my mind. and when i found out they made a new Super Smash Bros (melee) and we all crowded around a tiny TV to drop our jaws a the character selection and the map choices. these days, the giant roster in smash 4 is expected instead of impressive...
i still love and remember N64 and SNES and PSX games (been on a huge emulator spree lately), but they don't have the same significance to me

I spent a lot of hours learning K-Style and D-Style playing GunZ, too bad GunZ 2 was complete ass. On console Super Mario Strikers on GC took up the other half of my time.
Before and during time with both was the game I straight ripped my name from. Ut2k4

All day.
Where in Time is Carmen Sandiego? (also where in the world but where in time was better)
There was also a maths game of some sort installed on the computers in early primary school, I swear it was called Math Blaster but I can't find it anywhere on the internet. It was like a sidescrolling platformer where you had to solve maths problems to shoot your blaster thing at aliens? I think I can't quite remember but it was hella fun.
And AoE2 was and still is my favourite RTS ever
