several european writers (admirable, jimmybreeze, kaidus, others i'm certain to have forgotten) worked with cadred in the past and provided some pretty good tf2 coverage
unfortunately, they announced late last year that they would be dropping tf2 as a title and would no longer provide coverage of it or its scene or its events, so if you're going to be applying to them to write about tf2 you'd probably have to make a pretty persuasive argument to them. not trying to dissuade anyone, just letting you know of the bumpy road you must ride
that said, if there's someone out there interested in writing on cs:go/sc2/LoL/whatever they cover and you have some amount of talent/dedication, it's a pretty good site to make a name for yourself on and you accrue points over time that can be put in towards hardware rewards and richard lewis is generally a pretty cool/accepting dude to work with
Mmm one of the main reasons they lost interest in TF2 was the lack of activity from the writers. Cause of VTF2 no one really went there unless directly encouraged so there was little motivation to put the effort in. For anything to really happen with cadred it would require the community to get on board as well as the writers really.
There are a people out there that seem to produce reams of content that people don't read/watch, surely one of those folk would jump at the chance to write for a site where there stuff may actually get seen :)
i am applying to write for them, i think it would be a great chance to get my name out as a writer and to help generate more tf2 coverage for our scene if i can get him on board.
If you are "thinking" of applying, it is probably not worth your time.
Something like this, seems like an opportunity to jump at, or pass up.
i want to apply except i'm pretty sure i don't know a damn thing about formatting or html

People say this whenever they look over at the moneymen giving love to other games but I promise it doesn't work. It amounts to sucking cock; you would be looked down upon and discarded cheaply. The hubs for TF2 are here and vtf2 and etf2l, or whatever, and the scene will either grow out from those or it won't, but you can't fake it. Personally I think things are looking healthy, and the money will come in when the product earns it.
