Reminder that registration closes tonight. You need 6 players with their league fees paid in order to be considered ready. (You do not yet need premium paid, you will however need that paid by your first day of matches)
Some really rough statistics based on players paid.
At this point 10 of the 16 pending IM teams have at least 6 players with at least one of those players league fees paid. Assuming all of those teams pay up and none of the others do we'll have at least 19 teams in IM this season.
In open 20 of the 27 currently pending teams have either multiple members paid or have at least 5 players on the roster and have at least one of those players paid. Assuming at the very least those 20 teams get fully paid we will have a minimum of 54 open teams this season.
That puts us at around 81 potential teams. Our biggest season of TF2 was Season 11 with 83 teams. We dipped in Season 12 to 68 teams (this always happens in summer seasons so the winter season rebound is perfectly normal). Depending on how the last minute registration rush works out we could easily break our previous Season 11 record.

For those of you interested in Global Offensive; ESEA is completely killing it in Global Offensive teams. They are about to break the 500 barrier in teams that have at least signed up. CS:GO looks to have effectively taken the majority of CS 1.6 and CS:Source teams which are both looking to have their smallest seasons since Season 3.

Best way to help break the record is for everyone to pester that one friend of theirs who isn't signed up.

I see a LOT of new faces in Open. I don't know if this season's Open division will be as competitive as last season's, but I do know that there will be close matches for all ability levels by the end of the season.
Last season's playoff race was really good - there were 12 or so teams in the running for like 5 spots heading into the final week. Looking at the field, I think that might be the case once again.

Bump, Feel free to do us a favor and help us by bothering anyone on your friends list who is on a pending team to get league fees paid.
