The only microphone i currently have is a blue snowball, which, while nice, sits on the table in front of me. I was thinking i'd pick up a mic i could attach to my headset (not buy a new headset, though.)
Any decent suggestions? I'd be using it for whenever i'm ingame/mumble etc chatting.
Whatever price works, but i'm not trying to go all out, just something decent enough to get the job done without too many issues. so, i guess below $50 would be ideal.

i've used this for while. not the best quality, but i haven't had any problems with it.
i've used this for while. not the best quality, but i haven't had any problems with it.
alosecwhats wrong with the blue snowball?
My house is echoey so unless i'm bending towards the mic it sounds really reverby and unclear. This and it sits in front of my screen potentially blocking my view of the bottom of the screen at times.
I'm looking for a headset mic so i can freely play an not need to worry about mic location.

the zalman zm-mic1 is pretty good. i use one right now and people can understand you pretty well. it attaches to your headphone's cord so you dont really have to worry about where it is

This can work but one advantage I've found with modmic is that the magnet they come with sticks way better than velcro strips to my headphones.
I've used what marty linked as well, lower quality but clips to cable so stays on relatively well and won't have trouble picking your voice up.

If you catch it on a massdrop it's usually like $32, which is pretty cheap
