... Releases in "19 hours"!

A buddy of mine and I got into the closed beta. If anyone has any specific questions before the game drops I can answer them at an actually coherent and not e-celeb vocal diarrhoea level.

did you enjoy it, and is it worth a "#2"?

The game looks beautiful and they made a lot of good changes. Don't let early access scare you away, the devs are great.

drakdid you enjoy it, and is it worth a "#2"?
It's probably one of the few sequels I've encountered that honestly substantially improved on an established formula.

Cant wait! Can you not pre-purchase the game? Didn't see anything about that on the steam page. :/

1) Can you stun lock scrakes like in KF1?
2) Does the game feel kind of grindy to level up? like a million weld points?

does medic still heal with darts and if so are the darts' hit reg still atrocious

compared to kf1, how many hours of playtime do you think it will take to max all perks? (kf1 was something like ~170 without grinding i think)
are head hitboxes more consistent?
do the classes from kf1 fill similar roles as they used to?

I'll be buying this after I finish school in a few weeks. Played a ton of the first one and I'll probably end up playing this one a ton too.

Probably going to be looking for nerds to slay zombies with. Hmu.

1) Sort of. You can parry them now as any class but Berserker has the best parry ability (more frames).
2) Definitely not as grindy. I got to level 12 or so after a week of playing for an hour or two/day.
Paullydoes medic still heal with darts and if so are the darts' hit reg still atrocious
Medic still heals with darts but the dart hitreg is much better. They also have a lockon ability that I have a love/hate relationship with because it prevents those stupid moments where people just randomly move really far left or right but it made lining up shots on multiple teammates harder.

1) Like I said, I got to level 12 or so on Medic after a week of playing a hour or two a day. Took me 2 to get to level 5 on Support.
2) Yes, far more consistent. The zeds move a lot more, though, so they'll wriggle out of shots a bit.
3) Yes. Sadly this means that the best class rollout is still multiple Supports, a Berserker, and a Medic. Commando still doesn't have enough to make it viable in the face of Support in terms of clearing wee beastie Zeds. Playing with Tripwire devs, they're kinda set on making Firebug a class that also deals with wee beasties, which is yet another problem for Commando because it's just another chaff-clearing class.

Kind of sucks that they only kept the four perks from closed beta in the early release.
Sharpshooter was always my favorite and firebug is my friends go to perk. I guess it's time to just max out berserker first like I did in the original.

im itching to pick this up but early access and the amount of DLC kf1 had has me worried
what do people think about the replayability? im looking for a very challenging solo/teamplay type of experience

They're planning on having up to ten perks by the time it gets out of early access.

I'm aware. But they're planning for a full release at the end of 2015 when it was originally planned to be around Q2 (I think).
This is one of the reasons I'm not a huge fan of Steam having early access. Just gives game devs a reason to delay their game while still maintaining their budget.

i'd rather them early access the games and allow us to give us feedback rather than just hoping that their game works out for the best and fully releases it and patches it after
i impulse bought this game this morning and it's a ton of fun even though the content is a little limited at the moment
that boss is very predictable, but he's so hard.......................
i'm planning to max out field medic this time around, but i was a support on kf1 (i only welded doors)
homing needles are so sweet and the end perks sound fun
my main gripe about kf1 was that the graphics were so bad that it gave me super bad motion sickness, but that's obviously reworked for kf2 and the game feels really optimized as of right now
