I'm leaving from just north of Detroit, stopping through Columbus (most likely), and heading to the LAN. I can probably take one more person if someone is interested.
I think I'll have my car stuffed to capacity. Hit up Tetromino if you are still from the Detroit area and still want to go I guess?

It's a longshot and an equally long drive, but If anyone is coming from or driving through Nebraska, please add me. I really want to go. I can easily reimburse you for gas. I've thought about flying but I think it would be a logistical nightmare to fly with my computer.
That being said, if anyone has any advice for flying with a computer, let me know.

You'll have plenty of time. I think it sold out about two weeks before the event last time, and that was when registration opened in April.

The GXL's facebook page just made a post saying tickets should be on sale soon at their website http://www.thegxl.com/. Looks like they ran into a couple problems updating the site so for now it's still stuck on the splash screen. Also first 50 people to buy get a discounted price so that's cool.

I just want to echo this once more, just so people don't mindless buy tickets.
We have no plans of doing refunds or ticket transfers this year. Please make sure that you can actually go before you buy your ticket.
The first 50 people to sign up will pay a discounted price of $50. After that, it's a flat fee of $60.
Also, when you buy your ticket, make sure to say "yes" to the question "Are you participating in TF2?" This is important due to us needing a good estimate on how much space we need to lay out for the TF2 players.
