I'm a poor student who can't set the heat too high in my apartment, so my hands always get really cold when I'm playing games. What can I do to keep them warm while playing?
#2 has it. Quick warmup. Serious, it works. Back of neck is ok too but doesn't give as much warmth and isn't as fast.
close doors to unused rooms, seal windows, wear another layer of clothes
I don't know if this is the case for you but I used to get cold hands from gaming, for me though the reason was not the temperature in my room, it was a result of restrained blood circulation in my hands that was caused by having my arms at a bad angle against my desk.
To solve this I lowered my desk which puts my arms at a different angle and I don't get cold hands any more

put on another shirt or two
if you lose less blood warmth in your arms there will be more for your hands

If you want to spend some initial cash, space heaters are great for small rooms you can close off.
put your hands between your ass, that's natures pocket
Ok so what you need to do is wear a hoodie, now once your hoodie is on make sure the selves are as close to your hands as possible (in this case buy a hoodie one size larger). Now always make hand movements such as pressing the a and d key repetitively and swapping weapons with your mouse hand. This keeps your hand busy so they dont realize they are cold and always release your body heat (to do this crunch in your shoulders to your head and stretch your arms).

don't do this, a space heater eats up a fuckkkkkkkkkkk load of electricity.

sit on your hands, run your hands under warm water, get a small heater for your room (That's what I do. Works well), get a blanket or something comfy and warm, etc.
EDIT: You could also try wearing gloves but I don't know how well that would work while holding a mouse.

just turn it off after it heats up and then when it gets cold again just turn it back on. Also unplug it when your not using it.

i dont think you understand how a space heater works. it uses a fuckload of amps the second you turn it on. but thanks for those amazing tips, i had no idea turning the heat off once it got warm was a thing.
Fingerless gloves, blanket
Are you really saving that much money by being cold though? yolo, turn the heat up
