Can anyone who has this mouse be kind enough to write your thoughts of it? How does the mouse feel, is the lift off distance low, and does it feel similar to the zowie fk2?
good:
- cheapish (bought it on best buy's website for $32)
- supposedly great sensor -- it "worked" and I never really tried testing it beyond that (don't remember LOD)
bad:
- braided cord
- logitech software
- the shape is stupid, although not terribly uncomfortable. why the hell would you put sharp angles on something people hold in their hands?
- mouse feet are absolutely atrocious. there are two tiny ones on the sides which started catching on my mousepad after ~30 minutes of use.

Great mouse in almost every conceivable way other than shape
Seriously dunno what they were thinking. If you're someone who kinda just claws the shit out of things as if there was no reason for the manufacturer to make a shape for the mouse then I don't see why you would mind it
but if you're someone who questions why their mouse would have pointy edges on either side then you probably don't want this mouse

As everyone else has said, the shape is really really you hate it or you love it.
I personally love it. I've always enjoyed smaller mice even with pretty big hands. The two flat angles/corners on either rear sides of the mice fit really well into the meaty part of my lower thumb when I claw grip it. It did take a couple days to get used to transitioning from a Zowie FK, but I really enjoy it now.

Also, don't mess around with the surface tuning in the program because it starts making the mouse randomly twitch up to the sky sometimes whenever you make a fast swipe.
if you get an early batch one you could get rattling lens problems, which causes some tracking issues
it should be fixed by now, but you never know

the best mouse you can use at the moment
only upgrades i could see are a slightly tighter scroll wheel & a standard chassis (but the edges intuitively conform well to my hand, so no big deal)

posts above pretty much sum up the pros, cons, risks etc.
you might as well try it out, though. if you can find it somewhat cheap but you end up disliking it, i'm sure you can just resell it and lose only a few bucks on it.
the shape is weird, yeah, but who knows, maybe you'll actually like it

can vouch for this, happened to me numerous times, other then that its a pretty good mouse.

Alright I don't think the g303 is right for me. Any mouse recommendations for people who have average sized hands and who like to do a sort of hybrid of a palm/claw grip? Also I heard of some problems with zowie input lag? Is that an actual thing?
braided cords are awful they're heavy and drag on everything no idea why anybody likes them
you can easily replace the cord with an unbraided one from ebay ~5 bucks or so

That's a little insight.
But is it really a factor if you have enough slack on the cord?

braided cords also break/fray much more easily in my personal experience. my old deathadder one just like stopped sending signals to the mouse at all. never had a comparable problem with a non-braided cord.

The "Zowie input lag" is because of the Huano switches they use in all their mice. It's not really an input lag, it's just that the Huano's are harder/longer to press so it comes off as a 'delay' of sorts. At the most it's 20-30ms, nothing that will make a difference.

There was a chart from click input lag testing and compared to logitech mice zowie mice were pretty bad but with the new mice and newer batch of fk1 (I think) they made it a bit better

I don't think that's true. IIRC the latency was tested directly from the switch electronically. There was no button actuation done in the test. The mice have actual higher latency than others.

maybe its placebo but I can feel the button latency between my G502 and Intellimouse 3.0 with the G502 being much more responsive.
