From my experience with Geel and marketplace/scrap this for now doesn't seem to be something to worry much about. Even if they did keep some of that, there is plenty of overhead and expenses that have to be paid for to run a site like Saloon. A company is in business to make profit, and that incentive helps drive them forward with cool new stuff that we all benefit from.

Geel sponsored our EVL Battle Royale with a prize pool of 250 keys. Even though our event only had a total of 150 participants he still was willing to help out, and our players and staff are very grateful for the support.

It's a possibility. Right now we need to focus on migrating everything and getting into a good flow.

Geel is professional, intelligent and extremely generous, the right sort of fit for Saloon.tf to help take it to the next level. I can only imagine Geel & co's influence to be a beneficial thing for competitive TF2. More numbers, more viewers, more money and more support for TF2.

I have a bad feeling about this.
If you add possibility to use unusuals. Saloon will change too sweetstakes 2.
Imagine someone with unusual worth 200 keys, if he bet he will get everything. I know it's risky play. but the same thing already has happened on sweetstakes. In other words, saloon will change to another page where the rich get richer.

The only problem I can see with unusuals is that if lets say the odds are 10-90 and the underdog wins, you can't devide an unusual in half, so you'd have to take the unsual into bank and give the betters keys/metal in return. If you were able to make something like that it'd be insane
