Why would you want it at anything less than max? This isn't the 90s where you got to worry about saturating your connection by playing videogames.

The only time you should be using less than max rate is if you are on dial-up our on a TERRIBLE DSL connection.

In Comanglias config, he said that anything above 48,000 is useless for Highlander

I set mine to 100000. Many servers have weird rate locking settings in place that limits the max and min value so it'll occasionally get set in ranges of 100000, 60000, or sometimes even 40000. One season, ESEA had the rate minimum set at 100000 on all servers for the entire season so I just leave it at 100000 and forget about it.

Plus 100000 sounds cooler.

I think it's the transfer rate allowed to/from the server in Bytes/second

So a rate of 60000 is like 58kB/s max (the game usually doesn't need that much bandwidth).

set it as high as you can & let the server do the limiting

if you unfortunately have packet loss or choke that's exacerbated by bandwidth usage, you should set it lower than the server's cap &, more preferably, identify what's causing the loss (if it's from a situation that you literally can't avoid, such as rigid household internet restraints like mandatory wifi or from satellite internet, which i had the unfortunate experience of using for the first 16 years of my life, then i offer you my condolences).

cl_updaterate 67
cl_cmdrate 67
cl_interp 0
cl_interp_ratio 1
rate RIDICULOUSLY_HIGH_NUMBER

you're set, and don't worry about it anymore.

isn't it better to use cl_interp .033 for hitscan and .0152 for projectile instead of just cl_interp 0?
