gr8stalinSoapyfuture people would take you and your art more seriously if you werent shoving it down everyones throat jesus fuck manThis. I can't count how many times you've made a thread like this and then responded to everyone in the exact same manner that you are in this thread.
"Hey look everyone Stevokinevo is making another ultiduo tourney CHECK OUT THIS FUCKING THING I MADE GIVE ME MONEY TO GIVE TO CHARITY"
"WOW GUYS CHILL OUT IT'S JUST ART BUT PLEASE STOP SHITTALKING IT :^)"

man whatever, i went out of my way today to make this, I planned for this stuff, i took the time and did it. SORRY
Constructive criticism is fine but shitting on his art because you don't like it is pretty stupid honestly
futureman whatever, i went out of my way today to make this, I planned for this stuff, i took the time and did it. SORRY
THIS IS WHAT EVERYONE IS COMPLAINING ABOUT RIGHT HERE
THIS IS WHAT EVERYONE IS COMPLAINING ABOUT RIGHT HERE
idk if this would be a problem if he hadnt posted that video of crypt.
damn u guys are fucking immature, future took time out of his life to make this and id imagine it takes a while. if you dont like it then you dont need to post pointless negativity masked as criticism and discourage someone trying to do good for the community.
As another arbitrary and probably irrelevant opinion I think it looks great. Looks a bit like a gig poster, really nice variation from what people normally do~
its ok but its hard to read
i think that sums this thread up

Future, I love your style man, but consider your typography a little better.
Just look at it for a moment. A lot of crucial information is squashed in the top left. A lot. And it's all fighting for space. Consider all that space at the bottom/bottom right. The prizes offered merge with the title and information like 16 teams and please donate aren't relative to each other (other than the event they're a part of, of course), so spread it out.
I know that cluttering is part of the style, I live in a city where the punk scene is still alive and very active. But I see posters similar to this all the time, and what I don't see from those posters is hard to obtain information.
You also need to understand the limitations of this style; you can't use this style of art in every kind of project, because sometimes it doesn't fit with what the project is trying to display.
I love the work. Just consider your space. I know that cluttering everything is the point but you can at least make the information stand out.

It's also hard to take you seriously when you quite frequently post things offering art and your follow-up is questionable. I invited every steam friend to your group but never received the custom avatar you claimed you'd make for every person. If you can't follow up that claim don't make the statement in the first place. You self-advertise and self-advocate quite a lot on these forums and so I don't think it's unreasonable for people to be a little tired of it, especially when you act so self-centered. You straight-up hijacked Cherry's goodbye thread to start talking about how you want to get into animation. Likewise, if this were truly about raising money for One Step then any criticism would be an opportunity to help kids more. Personally, I think you would be much more successful and happy if you changed your mindset.
All that being said: your art is very original and you're clearly talented and willing to dedicate time to your work. If this is what you love then don't give up, just take care to act maturely and be considerate/thoughtful of your audience, especially when advertising. Good luck man!

honestly has potential but there is literally 0 color so it looks like a hunk of garbage
dang lets all say the same thing as the guy above us for +frags
i like your style but youve drawn the same thing for a year all your art is the same and also maybe a charity event for kids isnt best represented by a vomit aesthetic
d_bi like your style but youve drawn the same thing for a year all your art is the same and also maybe a charity event for kids isnt best represented by a vomit aesthetic
He's allowed to draw whatever the fuck he wants for however long he wants. It's his art. If you think someone is stagnant? DON'T FUCKING SAY ANYTHING. It's not your place to. Some artists want to keep improving, and some just want to do whatever and draw what makes them happy. If you think an artist should change their approach to art just for you, what the hell?
All these bullshit comments calling the work garbage is completely uncalled for. The only valid criticism I have seen is on the typography, which doesn't convey information effectively.
maxiehonestly has potential but there is literally 0 color so it looks like a hunk of garbage
What kind of retarded comment is this? "Hurr durr no color = garbage art." What an ignorant and meaningless thing to say.

@renhet i get where youre coming from as an artist, i dont think most of the ppl think his art is bad, its just not appropriate. i like futures work a lot, but for a livestream for a charity something like his aesthetic may be a bit lost in translation. his work is stuff i'd see on like a punk bands flier or stickers for skateboard companies, but for something like this its simply just different art style for what is necessary. i dont think in the slightest he should change his art style, its just his art style is appropriate for what hes making it for
you people all have brain problems i think. he is entitled to draw whatever he wants in whatever style he wants and art is subjective. admittedly he does shove it down people's throats a lot, but let a nigga enjoy drawing what he enjoys drawing, especially if it might help boost an event in some way.
also you all blow at criticism work on yo shit

idk Renhet I think if you are making the same thing over and over again people should always call u on it. repetitive things suck
also he is allowed to draw whatever makes him happy but we aren't obligated to upvote it on a tf2 forum

If this is what people said, that would be fine, because it gets the point across without being a dick. But they're literally calling his art garbage. What is that supposed to accomplish?

CondescendingCandlestickidk Renhet I think if you are making the same thing over and over again people should always call u on it. receptivity sucks
No, they shouldn't. People should fuck off because they're not entitled to enjoyment out of someone else's art. Can they tell an artist that they are stagnant? Sure. Should they? Fucking no. A lot of the time the artist may even know if they are, but have a multitude of personal reasons behind it. Fuck off and leave people alone.

That's right, nobody is obligated to upvote it. No one is obligated to insult the dude and his work personally either, but they're doing it.

I somewhat agree with the overall sentiment of your post Renhet but at the same time, considering it's being portrayed as a selfless act of charity, I think criticism is warranted. In this context, any reason someone wouldn't buy it is 'valid criticism'. Or, rather, can be valid criticism if future is genuinely interested in helping people. If he's just making things to be happy, as you imply, then there's no reason to criticize, you're right. However, in this case, the fact that you disagree with peoples' choice of what to criticize doesn't invalidate the criticism itself.
EDIT: This post was made after your first post. Now it seems like your point is more about the tone of the criticism, which you're 100% right is rude, and probably unwarranted.

the world isnt an artists hugbox lmao. if you make something public you are putting it up for criticism.

There is a very CLEAR difference between criticism, and straight-up calling someone's work garbage.
CondescendingCandlestickthe world isnt an artists hugbox lmao. if you make something public you are putting it up for criticism, period.
Nobody said it was. But if you think that submitting one's work to the world validates being an asshole, then you're kind of a giant piece of shit. Pointing out problems? Constructive. Literally calling the art garbage? Fucking die.

the whole world isn't against the guy, you have to know what criticism to take and what criticism to ignore

Unfortunately this is a PUBLIC forum, so therefore people are allowed to give feedback if they want... if you only want positive feedback then make your own site and make your own rules.
