Repair the Steam Service
This may also indicate a Steam Service failure. Please try repairing the Steam Service:
Exit Steam.
Click Start > Run (Windows Key + R)
Type the following command:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\bin\SteamService.exe" /repair
(If you have installed Steam to another path, please replace C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam with the correct path.)
This command requires administrator privileges and may take a few minutes.
Launch Steam and test the issue again.

Yesterday my friend brought his laptop to college to play and got this message while I had no idea why it happened since I didn't think we had any of the listed external programs open. Did this just happen to you after this particular update? But also thanks for the info so I can help fix it for my friend if it comes again.

still didn't fix the glitch where if you reload the pistol faces downwards
and all they did was revert the animation so it looks like the old one
also they didn't revert the model i'm pretty sure it still uses a c_model instead of a v_model

They randomly broke the festive revolver drawing a couple months ago and tried to fix it twice before finally getting it right in the last one. I know it wasn't right because I actually sent it in
I'm convinced they just slapdash fix one issue and commit without checking to see if theres any others in the same place, at this point

Does this work for anyone? I could be in a burning teammate's face yet the jar passes through, even when testing with bots. At least throwing it at the ground is an option.
