How is it a team's dirty laundry when other teams were affected?
How is it a team's dirty laundry when other teams were affected?
I meant the whole in-fighting on the subject and the thing where people decide posting chat logs is a good idea.
ninjanickMa3laaChatlog to Ninjanick and something I also said to showstopper.
10:10 PM - Ascent Ma3laa: You can post if you want
10:10 PM - Ascent Ma3laa: But saying he has bias for froyo is stupid
10:10 PM - Ascent Ma3laa: because I made the call
10:10 PM - Ascent Ma3laa: not him
10:11 PM - Ascent Ma3laa: If he was actually biased for froyo he wouldve done what I told him on his own much earlier than an hour past match times
I said to both you and showstopper that you shouldn't post this, with what you said about tsc being completely untrue. The razer admins didn't really make any decision about what was going on, and after 1 hour of your team and froyo going back and forth with each other about the issue without resolving it, I had to make a decision to end it. At this point you posted this to call out tsc specifically for something you knew he was not a direct cause of.
EDIT: This is not to say the tournament overall did not have any problems, it certainly could've been shorter overall, better scheduled, etc. These problems will be fixed in the future.
Alright so this is also ma3las fault then. The point is that the wrong decision was made and I will continue to argue that point. Tsc was the person that we were in direct contact with throughout the tournament so the blame was put on him.
This is also not the first time weve had issues with tsc. We wanted to reschedule an earlier match against mangoes that was not being casted to an earlier date so that it would not delay the tournament. Mangoes agreed and we even had razer staff agree to be available if any issues arised and the only one who had an issue with it was tsc from our POV who forced us to play it on the later default time with 3 ringers. This tournament had SEVERAL issues but the only person we were in direct contact with during the entire tournament is tsc.
Then theres the issue of you making decisions for a tournament that you're involved in. Tri is an esea admin and because of this hes not allowed to play in invite. HOLY SHIT I could go on for days about how poorly this was run. If we could go back and do it over again we simply would not have played. Its not worth the problems. Hence why weve decided to not play in a tournament that tsc is in charge of again since hes incapable of making correct decisions.
Bias or no bias. This was a shitshow.
EDIT: grammar/spelling
It's not the tournament admin's fault that you can't show up to a scheduled tournament, for which you know the dates of weeks in advance. How many other tournaments would let you reschedule games willy nilly? Especially when there is casting involved that has to be planned and organised, you can't just reschedule, no other tournament would let you do that. Please accept the fact that the two teams playing are not the only ones who would have to deal with the rescheduling bullshit, but also tournament admins, people involved in the casting and the stream viewers, the world doesn't revolve around you. Can't play on the date with a full roster? Well you should have planned ahead or at least had some sort of backup plan.

Please don't pretend that rescheduling is not a thing in other tournaments or leagues across every game. Especially in tournaments that are drawn out for this long. It's not like this was a one day thing (which btw 1 day tournaments are amazing when planned properly).

Razer staff agreed to be present if needed, not tournament admins, casters, streamers and other people who need to be involved. No, rescheduling a tournament isn't really a thing unless the ones who run the tournament decide to be nice and put time and effort organising casts and promotion. But you can't expect people to go out of their way to cater to your needs, the roster you have available on the day is ultimately your responsibility. Also, why would they cast a match when you apparently had a shit roster on the day.

Extenuating circumstances my friend. Knowing when the grand finals is scheduled 1 month ahead is great until something comes up 1 week beforehand that prevents you from being there. I don't know why as a tournament admin you would ever prioritize enforcing a schedule that can be easily extended a day and purposely diminish competition as a result.
Would you rather have an upper bracket final a day later, or the least entertaining upper bracket final that was a steamroll due to 3 ringers? All because you hide behind the irrelevant fact that it was "scheduled 1 month ago"
A lot of shit can happen in one month.
edit: how about this example: Would you be okay with etf2l or esea having you schedule all your matches one month ahead? do you know exactly what all 12 players will be doing one month from now?

Why do you keep bringing up casting. This was scheduled to be played at the same time as ascent vs froyo. Everyone knew for a fact that it wasn't being casted. Dilusive was the only one who needed to be available at the time of the match in case of any issues with the razer website since we were playing on razers platform. It's as simple as playing the match and reporting a score, which even the platform does for you. Noone needs to "go out of their way" for anything.
Ond_kaja Also, why would they cast a match when you apparently had a shit roster on the day.
Lol we won with that "shit roster". If anything it made the game closer and more enjoyable to watch. That's not even the point.

Then I guess the problem is that the tournament admin didn't want to reward teams for being unorganized, and not being able to show up on appointed times. A decision like that sets a bad precedent, what if other teams wanted to do the same thing? You would either have to allow everyone to reschedule or not allow anyone to reschedule, just to be fair to the teams. Again, it's your responsibility to show up with a roster on the day, if you can't tough luck. But it's you and your team's fault, not the tournament admin's fault, and you haven't even admitted that yet.
But this isn't even the main issue, the issue is that you are being extremely antagonistic towards someone publicly, who has spent an incredible effort organising this tournament completely voluntarily. Hiccups and questionable decisions happen in the biggest of tournaments with the most experienced tournament admins, but you don't see any big teams publicly shitting on everyone involved in the tournament (unless it's gamer paradise tier) and accusing other players of cheating without a shred of evidence. That's the definition of self destructive behaviour and only drives potential ambitions AWAY from the scene.

This post would be 900% better without the unfunded accusations and insinuations. Heart of the matter is that Ash was warping in a way that is notoriously frustrating to play against, and it's the sensible to say that he shouldn't, at least on the grounds of fair play and sportsmanship. After seeing Ash from multiple points of view on all the streams does anyone dispute this? I hope he fixes his internet or doesn't play unless allowed to by his competitors...
He was never actually claiming that ash was cheating.
He was simply saying that any internet problems that ash may have had led to a similar effect, and as such, froyo should have been forced to use a sub who wasn't rubber banding all over the place. Yes it was an interesting decision. Maybe it was the wrong one.
Also, saying that no-one should be allowed to reschedule because dates were known well in advance is ridiculous. Yes, players should try to make that day clear. But sometimes, shit happens, and you can't make that day. Would you seriously expect someone to miss a job interview, which came up and can only be done on that day, just to attend an online tf2 tournament? I'm not saying that was what happened, but you simply saying "no rescheduling" is ridiculous.

Like we've already stated, we're not playing in another tournament that tsc is running. I'm glad that there are people like him willing to voluntarily run events, but we want no part in it due to our experience in this event. Whether or not you believe saying that publicly is wrong is your opinion I guess. People are gonna start scratching their heads when they see the #3 team not competing in events regardless.
And we never accused anyone of cheating. Carter showed symptoms similar to rate hacking and was unhittable. Froyo should have been forced to get a sub even if it was unintentional. That's the issue at hand.

Found out Froyo soldiers had pretty high ping, given the general connection shitfest it might be considered "fair" that Ash played... Dunno, it's still hard to sympathize with the guy when not only was he warping but he consistently sarcastically taunted people in chat. But maybe that's justified by something TSU said before, I shouldn't be judging from outside without thoroughly inspecting the vods, sorry.

Eh, you accused him in the original post of rate hacking, you didn't word it as "symptoms similar to rate hacking", you literally said that he was ratehacking. You only backed out of this claim AFTER you understood you couldn't prove that he actually was ratehacking, which I'm glad you did but at least admit your mistake.
And maybe there won't be a replacement for tsc, a lot of people wouldn't elect to run a tournament if they knew they had to deal with this unnecessary drama if something went wrong (which it most likely will do). Because honestly that is an overreaction if I've ever seen one, you are boycotting all future tournaments where this particular person is an admin because 1) he didn't let you reschedule, 2) he didn't force froyotech to use a sub. A lot of other tournament admins would have made the same decisions, so this sounds personal and irrational rather than an educated decision.

At no point during this entire thread do I say carter is ratehacking. Any edits that have been made have been added to the end of my posts. I would stop posting for your own sake since everything you're saying is either outright wrong or getting refuted immediately.

Then why did you use this argument if you don't think he was ratehacking. It would not be applicable if he didn't ratehack.
ninjanickESEA has rules against rate hacking and they would have been forced to get a sub if this was played in their league.
And I would stop biting the hands that feed you if I were you.

Because it literally looks like the same exact thing and esea would not have let it happen. Refer to drshdwpuppets post. The point in including esea in the post is to show that esea has the right ruleset and that should be the one used in other leagues.
why are you fucks arguing 85 posts later.
fall classic didnt uphold the highest level of competition possible
carters internet is a piece of shit and instead of fixing it he probably just spammed dumb shit in mumble like "i'm pounding"
ESEA isn't perfect, it never has been and never will be
rescheduling is a thing, there's no argument to "we could've rescheduled"
any further discussion is going to make you both look silly
