Well, I'm extremely excited to see Valve taking interest in optimizing the game, however, I think they should focus next on not having item servers dying everytime there is a major update :(

i mean, there's not much they can do besides try to reduce downtime on the item servers. major updates for csgo and dota will also bring down their item servers for an amount of time.

and the item servers are still down for me but up for others so i have no idea whats going on there.

there's apparently a turning animation for this, but it doesn't show up for others, only when you use the taunt yourself

it looks real terrible right now as a result, like there's only a single frame of animation and you just float about otherwise

Having contracts also magically drops my fps by like 80 for no reason.

Fps is now suddenly attrocious. Getting 60-80 fps in tr_rocketshooting (where I used to get 140+ on a higher resolution). I tried pubbing and I was going from 30-60 fps. I use Comanglias

To fix your halloween contract thing, paste this into your hudanimations_tf.txt file at the bottom:

I think they only effect your contract souls (if they effected the gargoyle leveling up I didn't notice).

Does anyone know if the souls that chase you after kills are easy to disable at all? They work in competitive mode, and I feel like this could work against cloaked spies.

Valve- When dropped, flags return after a timeout. This timeout does NOT reset if the flag is picked up again before it returns or is captured

i always thought this'd make regular ctf a lot more playable

2639 frames 27.673 seconds 95.36 fps (10.49 ms/f) 6.989 fps variability

New benchmark:

2639 frames 27.624 seconds 95.53 fps (10.47 ms/f) 8.286 fps variability

Using Comanglia's config, dx8. I'm curious to see what those who got insane fps boosts use, particularly if they're on dx8 or dx9.
