Oh joy I'm sure that's gunna be great with my iphone3 that takes like 10 minutes to open snapchat
Geel9FYI you don't just enter a code from the steam app -- you have to visit a webpage within the steam client on your phone and hit an accept button. It's more involved than just a code.
i'd imagine you will be able to disable it just like the email verification though, correct? I don't think valve would be dumb enough to alienate anyone using their platform that doesn't have a cell phone.

I already have to boot up my laptop to trade for another days. What the flying fuck kind of security measures are they going to? If a kid unboxes a $500 unusual, and they don't know what they're dealing with, not even their parents would be able to trade it for money or whatever.
This whole situation is retarded.

In theory you can disable Steamguard too. You just can't do shit without it.

the mobile steam guard was a pain to use.
when i used it, you needed to enter the code everytime you logged in, unlike email where you put the code once and you're all set.
it was really annoying going back and forth between my cs smurfs and my main so i disabled it after 3 days.
hope it wont be as painful this time around....

What would the point of a security measure be if the hijacker could just opt you out of it

you guys gotta understand that if you're going to protest something happening, it doesnt hurt to provide an alternative

Damn this means you can't just use pushbullet or something to grab the code without getting your phone. Kinda shitty although I suppose you could always use vnc

thmpsnyou guys gotta understand that if you're going to protest something happening, it doesnt hurt to provide an alternative
the alternative in this case is just basic security measures that everyone else in the world uses, ie, not having your password the same for your account and also the email associated with it
