Kinda had this "problem" since starting to play competitive TF2 where I simply cannot stop changing my hud that I play with. Whenever I change the hud I use only lasts for either a few days or a few weeks and then I change huds again. Does anyone else have this habit of changing huds all the time and is it necessarily a bad habit?

Look at your hud right now, what do you like about it? Is it centered hp + ammo? Is everything at the bottom? Does it have flashing strobe effect colours when you lose health. That sort of thing. Just keep what you like and keep making additions when you want new things.

I used updated rad hud, black m0re hud and kn+noto hud edit today.

Switching HUDS is fine! I do recommend learning how modify and fix stuff, since it'll let you stick with HUDs you like a bit longer and let you use ones without features you'd normally 100% want. (HL Scoreboard and Uber% behind Label for me)

I got over it by changing my hud to the hud my tf2 idol uses. It is super old and broken but that cured me.

yeah. before i quit the game i had a folder that contained over 20 huds, along with hitsounds, cfgs, and fps improvements. not a bad habit at all whatsoever

Increase your standards. Most HUDs are garbage. There are like 10 worth-while HUDs, even fewer being actively maintained.

take a really basic hud and start tweaking it.
changing the hud instead of replacing it.
it takes more time to tweak things in the hud than replacing it, and you'll eventually get tired of doing it and will stop changing.

I don't think switching huds is bad,my team mates made fun of me for always changing huds, but I eventually found the right HUD for me .
