Has anybody figured out why they changed the uber build rate in setup time? Doesn't every map have 60 seconds which is more than enough time to get an uber anyway? Not getting the point or what they were trying to do, unless they're gonna reduce setup time to 30 sec.

I think it's unlikely that they will reduce it to 30 seconds. Engies in highlander need around 45-60 seconds to fully build their gear.

Probably to increase the draw of medic in pubs. I know sometimes I've considered playing med in pubs, then realizing there's only 20 seconds left and deciding against it because I wouldn't have uber by the time the round started.

Oh my.... one thing I just thought of. Wouldn't this allow a kritz med to build kritz and then use kritz demo(s) to lay trap stickies which is what we do in MVM? Then the med would have enough time for 2 Kritzes before the round starts. That might actually be pretty bad...

well, 17.6 seconds if you manage to do it in 10 arrows all at max healing, or marginally faster if you reload the arrow while you heal someone else and switch back every 1.7 seconds. this is pretty totally unrealistic though, because a class has to be doing 150+ damage to itself every 2 seconds at max range from a medic. i'd imagine you cant do it with any class alone. scout obviously you can only heal like 100 safely, for soldier and demo their reload speed would likely prevent them from being able to do 150 damage to themselves at such a consistent rate. so to optimize your uber build you'd have to have 2 classes full time hurting themselves at max range while a third stands near med to heal during crossbow reloads

oh yeah i didnt consider that you only have to reload 9 times, but also your last arrow will have travel time of like 1/2 a second if you want to get into the real nitty gritty of the timing. its definitely a worthwhile exercise to see how fast you could perfectly build with 2 soldiers running shotty and a demo all at range, and w/ a boston bashing scout to heal next to you, i bet you could get it under 14 seconds if you switch on and off of medigun perfectly

My Fps are gone way down, from 125 to like 60 frames/sec on dx8
I literally get a solid 9 fps now with an occasional 60 fps boost. What the fuck happened?

Well I just tried using the -default in the launch options and it didn't seem to change anything, all it did was to reset the game settings back to default, and simple console commands like "volume" and "net_graph 1" weren't working so I couldn't really check the fps, but I am 100% sure it was still the same, maybe the people who are having the problem should give it a try and see if it work for them, but it didn't work for me.. Anyways I think we should chill the f*** down and wait for a patch, it's only been 10 hours since the release of the update.
