huhy has abandoned the project AFAIK (as he is too busy with his job, he no longer plays tf2), hopefully he can respond and possibly release all of his usable assets to anyone who wishes to continue his work should he still have them

as someone who works full time and recently made a 7 minute frag vid for someone who basically had all the ticks set out and I physically went and got the demos of his computer, and it STILL took forever; I 100% sympathise with huhy. It's a massive undertaking and I fully understand why it takes so long!

Considering it's been over a year at this point with next to no communication from huhy i wouldn't be so quick to forgive. If he gave us some information about how it was going then I wouldn't be remotely bothered with the length of time it's taking, but for all I know right now he could have completely given up on it.
Like this was my favourite tf2 tournament of all time, with some of the best games and plays I have ever watched. For it to be lost because someone who said they'd make the frag vid decided not to without telling anyone would be a tragedy. Huhy needs to step up and let us know what's happening, or admit NOW that he can't so someone else can give it a shot.

It's just that there was an unfortunate timing as I came back to college and had to start wworking part time to pay the bills so I haven't had time to pick it up yet. (also some players didnt send their demos yet ;__;) But I got all the ticks from twitch vods/stvs thanks to the wonderful work of beater and co, and I got 9GB of demos and 25Gb of lan footage, I have more than enough material to work with, just need time, (and maybe a new HDD as this one is not gonna be enough with so much material).

he did say he is working on it a few months ago, he just has a job and gf and it will take time.
it's not like anyone has an initiative to step forward and throw all the frags together, let alone invest time into editing it and making it look good.
hearing what's the progress would be nice though.
and he said it won't be out before i55 either way.
