But in all honesty, you could generate even bigger sums by trading rare hats for the game on the black market.

granted, idk if "hey this game has serious tournaments I think maybe!!! but haha, what about those hats anyways" with a beta screenshot slapped onto it is high-end coverage
like almost every other game in that list gets a proper shot of the players, or at least a nice screenshot in-game, they couldn't even be bothered to get a screenshot of the modern game?

CommonPlebI'm surprised melee beat out street fighter
it beat out street fighter four, this does not include every other street fighter which cumulatively would be pretty high up, possibly even surpassing hearthstone?

not just that, but if you recall he was supposed to have a nail gun that functioned basically like the syringe gun, and it managed to stick around up until real late into original development
imagine the nail gun frag videos

with the ESEA's competitions showing the most life recently
Really? Because as far as I'm aware they've dropped LAN support... I would say Insomnia shows the most life, if not UGC (by enthusiasm and money, and by sheer numbers, respectively).

I think the EU scene is more impressive from an "esports" point of view than what UGC and/or ESEA is doing, since they have LANs, high player numbers, and the highest level of competition all in one cohesive system. But I wouldn't expect a Gamespot article to do that much research for their #20 spot.
