I've done HL at a lan center before with plenty of hiccups, but it happened.
This is a BYOC event though and I'll be providing the server as I did at the previous event :)

In 11 hours we've raised 770, just about 45% of the first goal mark of 1,700.
You guys are amazing.

Just to give you some perspective.
The first two FLan events raised about 800 and 900 respectively over the course of a few months leading up to the event itself. I have the utmost confidence that another few days like this and we'll definitely have this Lan.

Hey Miggy, not sure who you asked about this but I would consider extending the event to two days to be more important than adding prizes. I'm not going to this but if GXL had been a shorter event it would have been harder to justify a 6+ hour drive, especially because prizes only matter to the top two teams. If you've asked around and the consensus was prizes are more important than just ignore me but it's just something to think about.

I was actually planning on pulling a YOLO and making it a two day event if we got close to 3k but not enough to pass the second Goal.

I honestly never expected anyone to want to donate more than 100 bucks.
But if you're feeling generous, there is a big DONATE button on the top right of the page that lets you donate any amount.
Using that button doesn't let you claim the perks though.

Only 4 Event tickets have been purchased so far.
Most people are waiting for the bi-weekly PayDay before purchasing their tickets; Others are waiting for the First Goal to be reached so they know the venue is secured.

Unfortunately there's not much I can do about that other than wait for the First Goal to be reached. I'm very hopeful it'll happen this week. Then I'll be able to make a quick stop at the venue and pay the first day up front and have an actual Event Date I can post.
