I really hate normal mmr i just want to play in the upper half of high mmr if not maybe even very high mmr, but shit happens and I play with friends who are bad and we lose. Honestly just look at the picks and you can tell how I feel

His team has 4 supports and 1 carry (who did terribly), yet the other team was full of idiots (drow with a blademail, earthshaker rushing aghs, vengeful with a yasha and aghs). Basically he was playing against shitlords, did well, and wants to brag.

I used to play HoN and am curious are there really any differences between HoN and Dota2? From what I've seen they both are set out to do the exact same thing. For those that have played both which has more appeal to you, is it essentially the exact same experience? Or does one have much better matchmaking or some other feature that trumps the other?

dota 1 = original moba
dota 2 = dota 1 with less heroes out and better graphics
hon = dota 1 with better graphics and lots more heroes that arent even in dota

Puppet doesn't actually seem as broken to me when there are all those S2 heroes that have much stupider abilities (stopped playing so not sure the current state). It is a little dumb that a carry has 2 CC's though.

I hope dota2 becomes as modable as hon though.

HoN is the try-hard 90s ACTION edition of DotA. Most of the S2 heroes are fucking retarded and ever since hon 2.0 they gave up on attempting to be dota and instead went for some other crazy sort of game where heroes that have 2.5k radius 40% slow 250 damage nukes that don't require vision are o k.

Damn shame because I would have liked to see deadwood and forsaken archer in a playable arts but I guess I never will.

I know that many people in this community play Dota 2 so I have a question. How would one get back in to Dota 2 if they used to play a little bit of it but were not very good. Also I haven't played for months, would it be a good choice to use the recommended items because I always found builds confusing.
