so after reading some threads from tftv and /r/truetf2, i was pretty convinced that 144hz monitors do help alot and i should buy one, so i bought one yesterday. opening my computer expecting some change, i see no difference at all. my desktop, gameplay, video and all that shit have no difference. y
Maybe you need to enable 144Hz in your display preferences. Sometimes OS won't bump the refresh rate to 144Hz by itself.
are you kidding?
60 to 120 is already a huge difference.
and 120 -> 144 is still a difference of 24 frames.
a lot of youtube clips still run at 30fps, and a while back every single one of them was 30 (or less). movies are typically 24 frames. and that's how much difference there is.

It's a huge difference. It's either your settings or your cable. Check display settings and make sure it's at 144hz
As mentioned above you need to apply the settings for it to take affect, also you cannot use a HDMI connection with 144hz, it has to be DVI.
ah yes, i think it's the connection problem, i'm ordering a dp to dvi cable rn thx
assuming your setup is correct
144hz wont make you automatically have great aim
it just takes your aim to the next level
imo the difference is noticeable if you play on 144hz for a while and then play tf2 on 60hz once
